Just found out about this forum earlier today, and yesterday I took my initial reta injection — presumably for the same reason as most people here. I'm eager to browse the forum and pick things up. From what I've seen so far, perhaps my starting dose of 2.5mil was a bit too high. I don't really have any expertise to contribute, so I probably won't be posting often. Maybe as I gain personal experience that will change, though I'm sure it's all been covered already.

Cheers lads. How did you all end up on here?

Don't know if it's within the rules, but if it is, drop your threads below. I'd be keen to check them out. So far I've only browsed the reta section.

Honestly can't say my first shot had any effect. Could be I got ripped off. Figured I'd notice something by this point.

Figuring out what you're actually getting is tricky. From what I understand, Reta begins at 2ml per week. Mine has arrived, though I haven't started it. Previously I was using ozempic, but only at a low dose. Wanted to switch things up and go my own way.

Found this forum.

I'm working on shedding a few pounds. Had 2mg of reta, and I believe the effects really kicked in by day 2. I've been pretty regular about logging my peptide journey here , so anyone can check it out to see the side effects I'm dealing with, what I'm up to, and so on. My first pin was last thursday, but sure look, we'll see how it goes.

2ml? Or did you actually mean 2mg? The reason I ask is that 2ml could be a huge amount, it all hinges on how you mixed the powder. Take my case: I added 1ml to a 10mg vial, then used 20 unit doses, which gave me 2mg per pin.

I’ve got a 40mil pen. Did 2.5 mil, and that came to 19 clicks.

I’m still not sure about it, but I stepped on the scale just now and I’ve dropped close to a stone. Could be my scales are off, or this really is doing something.

Since roughly the beginning of the year, I've dropped 70 pounds. I'm a 62M ex-athlete, and I have several autoimmune conditions that caused severe inflammation. During my first month on Retatrutide, I lost 40 pounds!! Food choices, portions, and consistent intense training were never something I slacked on. Even so, the autoimmune issues meant prednisone was needed for suppression. Within just a few years, my weight had climbed to 262 pounds. For me, Retatrutide has been an absolute blessing. Now I'm sitting at my target weight, hovering a bit above 190lbs. Before, even with just 1 very low calorie meal a day, that was completely out of reach.

Glad to hear that. Part of me keeps thinking it's all in my head, yet I've already noticed a few changes in a really short window. Fingers crossed it keeps going, and I'd like to get back to working out the way I used to when I was younger. I don't eat much, but I do drink alcohol on a regular basis (yes, the cliché...). So far I can't say it has changed my urge to drink at all, though I'm hoping that kicks in, since I think that would be the key piece to getting me where I want to be.

41m down 10lbs I think but im not so sure about my scales.

You're right, that was my error. My reconstitution method matches yours, though my starting dose was 1mg.

As I thought, that wasn't right. I had lost 3.5kg (from now on I'll stick to kg only, no stones or pounds). Since then it's stayed more or less the same. Following last week's jab I did experience some side effects: feeling hot and a heart rate above what it usually is. After this week's shot, things have been normal.

8.5kg lighter at this point. Lately, despite moving my dose up from 2.5mg to 3, I've noticed my appetite has come back stronger over these past few weeks, and on sunday I consumed a larger amount than at any time since I began. The upside is that for weeks now I haven't experienced any side effects.
