I need to give this a shot!RojoGrande said:
Sure, bars work fine. My go-to is a chocolate protein shake from Costco. There are plenty of simple ways to hit your protein, though. For me, beef jerky works (even if the sodium is high), along with cottage cheese, plain greek yogurt (mixed with Ghost brand Cinnabon protein powder, which is amazing), or protein milk blended with protein powder. Most of these let me get 50g in easily late in the day, and they go down without trouble.
The milk tip for blending protein powder is a good one... total facepalm moment, never crossed my mind.... Milk hasn't been part of my diet since childhood....FunkyWhales78 said:
Protein powder is the go-to, clearly. These days I use it to replace breakfast entirely — blended with skimmed milk instead of water, plus some frozen fruit and frozen spinnich. My target is 50 to 60g of protein from that single "meal".

The "super" chewy style just isn't for me..spanky2026 said:
Shakes are what I reach for when I want protein without any effort, and a can of tuna comes next. There are a few different protein bars sitting in my cupboard, but none of them have really won me over, even after trying every option Costco sells. If I had to pick, RX Bars come out on top — they have a texture similar to a chewy fig bar.
