Relatively new to this, though not completely foregin. 30s M. A few years back an issue with diabetic symptoms showed up and turned out to stem from an antidepressant. It was stopped, and a different doctor put me on Mounjaro to help with the diabetic symptoms. A few months later every diabetic symptom was gone and none have come back since; periodic blood checks show A1C normal and stable.. Keeping Mounjaro going to get weight back in order struck the doctor as a good idea, however.
Price became prohibitive, so a switch to Ozempic followed, and after a while that one became prohibitive too, so stopping was the choice. About 20 lbs came off while on it. A regular gym enjoyer in the past, but a work injury, depression and general laziness pushed my weight up too much.
Learning is why I'm here, primarily to see whether more cost effective options exist.
