Hi there,

My starting weight was 215 on February 21st, and I’m now at 172. I’m aiming for 150 and hope to reach it within the next 3 months. I began with Sema and later made the switch to Reta. Learning to manage food rather than letting it manage me has been a genuinely rewarding experience. I’m a mother and a social worker, and I also foster cats, which I truly love. Summer is my favorite season, and I’m eager to wear dresses this year rather than leggings and tops I scrambled to find that would hide my upper arms.

Hi, welcome aboard! What was your experience moving from Sema over to Reta? A number of folks say Reta doesn’t hit them as strongly. What dose were you on when you quit Sema, and what dose did you begin Reta at?

Thanks so much!

With hunger suppression, and in my case side effects, the change is obvious. Sema at .5mg gave stronger suppression, yet I dealt with every terrible GI issue. After moving to Reta, my starting dose was 1mg, I’ve had no side effects at all, and the weight keeps dropping. I’ve now reached 3mg.
