First Order Arriving Soon — Should I Announce It in the TG on Delivery?

Sorry if I've landed in the wrong group here, but my first order should be showing up shortly. My question is really about etiquette.

Once it arrives safely, should I say so in the TG group I was part of? Or is it better to hold off until the test results are in?

Because this is my first order, I don't know what the usual practice is for reporting back to the main TG channel — or whichever topic — so others are aware. Is a private message to the vendor the only thing I should do?

Either choice is fine. Nothing obliges you to act at all.

A separate channel for touchdowns/reviews ought to exist. If there isn't one, I certainly wouldn't take the trouble.

As an aside, the fraudulent Chinese vendors on TG post reviews/touchdowns written by fake users.
 
I make a habit of it. In my view, it's a good feeling for the people running the TG group to get confirmation that a delivery went through. 🙂
 
I've never done it, and I don't see any reason to start.

If the Group Promotion Vendor wants to know, all the tracking details are already available to them.
 
The vendor I get most of my supplies from runs a website, and the order page includes a checkbox for confirming that the order arrived. Up to now, that's the method I've always used.
 
Honestly, I don't think I've ever actually browsed a touchdown channel, much less contributed a post to one. I have gotten excited and shared tracking updates in the general channel or the GB-specific one before. Once the package actually shows up, though, the excitement has usually worn off for me.
