First Crypto buy!

I created a Coinbase account and then created my Exodus wallet. I bought USDC and it was easy to do. The part I was unready for is the bank hold of 7 days! Ugh! I kept playing around with linking different accounts/banks. But, all held the same 7 day rule. Maybe Coinbase does it too? But, when I linked my Chase debit card, I was able to make immediate USDC purchase and then immediately transfer to my Exodus wallet. BUT, after I did that a couple times with low $ amounts, I tried a larger $ amount and my Chase Debit blocked it (there is a daily limit, I was below that). I called Chase and they said they have a policy not to authorize crypto/coinbase transfers/purchases with their debit. But, the guy said if I try again in an hour or so, many times, the purchase will go through as their system does not always identify the crypto. The next day I successfully used my Chase debit to purchase USDC and I transferred that to my wallet. Then made my order and it was pretty easy! Now, I wait patiently (not) for my order from China.
 
Congrats! First time is really anxiety-ridden, but then it's done and you're all like, "I am a ROCK STAR! I figured it out!" Bask in the glow. Congrats!
 
I have a coin base account already , but it doesnt have much in it. I did it months ago just to test it out. I should upload some more funds, but mine was to purchase BTC just to see how it's done. I have to learn what to buy here. That's today's mission. seems USDC is where I should start looking

Yes, USDC is stable and I believe accepted by all vendors. Good luck!
 
My Coinbase is also linked to my PayPal account...Initially, my PayPal transfers had a 7 day hold..after a week or three, my PayPal transfers are now 'up to $3k a day' and show up and can be transferred out immediately...once you get rolling with Coinbase and crypto, it gets fast and easy....almost too easy... 😳

Good job on being patient and working your way towards a successful purchase!...👍

Thank you! I am trying to read it enough to feel funny confident. I dont have anyone to gently hold my hand and I dont want mess this up, but that said, my first buy will be small, so if its a bust, I dont lose sleep 🙂 I just dont want to feel stupid!
