Not sure why my last thread got deleted (about a vendor sending me possibly something else) but I feel kinda hopeless now since its gone. I dont think I broke any rules but if other people commented stuff they shouldn't have, then those comments should of been deleted. Not me explaining how I think a vendor gave me the wrong product and my experience with it. I was hoping this would save me on money, lose weight, and get healthier overall. I know peptides arent the answer but I hoped it was the push I needed. Spending $200 to a "trusted" vendor on here who only will accept a Jano test result (another $210 but that's before the price increase. Not to mention Jano wants me to tell them what peptide I have. What's the point of blind testing when I gotta tell them what I have). People mentioned about group testing but apparently that's hard to get into because either its full 1 month or not that many people are doing it. Am I just supposed to spend another $200 with some other vendor in hopes I receive what I actually bought? Or be petty and pay that $200 to test my vials, in hopes the vendor reimburses me. Has anyone gotten their stuff tested, came back wrong, and the vendor did them right? Money is tight for me and im trying to decide on the choice right now of either blind buying from someone else or getting my stuff tested.

As far as I know, component testing is not conducted in a "I want to know what is in here" manner, but rather checks "what percentage of purity this substance has and how much of it is contained." The former is also possible, but the method would be different.

I just ordered a kit of reta through a vendor from this forum. They had a sponsor tag and according from the activity in their TG they were 'honest'. However, i always kept it in the back of my mind that it is at own risk. We're buying unregulated stuff from a lab in China. We never know if we're injecting the next pandemic into our bodies.

Honestly you can do either way, but if the vendor doesn't repay even with jano tests you made another loss.

Why do you think you were sold something else, what did you order? Did the labels match?

I'm sorry you're experiencing this. I think if you don't want to risk of losing money bc of going gray and having to test, I would advise that you search for local vendors in your country (not sure if you're in the US). I also still have lots to learn with going gray, but bc I don't want to deal with my own testing or crypto right now, I only ordered from US vendors when they have sales.

I've read from a post here that mentioned about the costs and headaches of testing is worth it by paying just a bit more compared to gray. Money is also tight for me, so I'm always searching for deals/discounts from US based companies. This gives me the relief that I know what I'm getting and money well spent with less headaches. Good luck to you.

I know you are saying you think you got something that was not what you ordered, but how do you know? It is genuinely rare for that to happen, even more so if from a seller with a good reputation. I do not see how you can tell what you got unless it is a drug or peptide you have taken before, and it had very specific effects or side effects. And it sounds like you have not tried them before, and I have no idea what peptide it was.

Buying grey peptides carries risks, you have to accept that an order is not going to arrive or be faulty ( much less likely ) at some point, and accept that as part of the deal of getting glp drugs for 1/20th the price. If you do not trust what you bought, buy again from a seller with a good reputation, as this is probably the most reliable simple way of picking a vendor. Their whole business model relies on not getting bad reviews or bad test results published, so it makes them care enough to get it right.

Jano doesn't want you to tell them what peptide it is as much as they want you to tell Czech customs what peptide it is since there are legal requirements that must be met. That doesn't negate blind testing in any way.

The bottom line is that testing is a part of grey market sourcing. If you're not prepared to have testing done to ensure that a vendor honors a guarantee, then perhaps the grey market isn't for you.

I ordered reta. Weeks 7, 8, and 9, I was pinning 8mg with no side affects whatsoever. No nausea, stomach issues, nothing. Haven't dropped any weight.

The vendor had the batch numbers mixed up. They said as along as I got the blue cap I have reta, but the batch numbers match up to a jano report of it being TB-500. They will only accept a Jano report to reimburse me.

Because I didnt experience any side affects that came with reta at such a high dose within 2-3 months of taking it. Only thing is I didnt feel sore after working out (i guess that's the TB500?).

I know you said its rare for it to happen but with I feel like its happening a lot lately with batch mixups and what not.

Im probably going to go with a US vendor this time that accepts US testing if i continue going forward with grey market.

You had side effects before? I'm only at 1.5mg but i have 0.0 side effects. Are the vials not labeled?

If you test it you spend another 200*ish for testing and (maybe) get back 200*ish.

If you don't you just spend another 200*ish for a new kit?

I doubt they will also refund your test.

First time taking a GLP-1. No side affects whatsoever.

This is what they said.

These are the batch numbers.

They said they had a batch number mixup and said as long as I had the blue cap I got reta. But obviously not as i had no appetite suppression or side affects. And these batch numbers all come to TB500

And you start at 8 mg?

Yeah i know, they will maybe repay the kit, but i doubt they will pay the test. That's what i meant.

But tbh, yeah it looks like you got TB500, amazing you went through 7 vials before noticing.

Started 0.5, worked my way up to 8mg because I haven't noticed side affects.

People always said on here that "some people are slow responders" so I decided to test that theory by jumping up quickly.

Understandable, i also started at 0.5mg without any effects, as soon as i hit 1 mg i felt it a little, 1.5 hit me a little less than the initial 1mg but probably because i'm getting used to it. I can go through the day only eating dinner tho. Lost almost 4 kg, mostly waterweight tho probably.

Honestly i understand you don't want to test, i wouldn't either. I used to work sales and my mind immediately goes to bad customer service when i read this. On the other hand, this is the risk we take buying grey. All you can do is write a bad review and look for another vendor.

Or do the test and reclaim your money, but i doubt they will also cover the cost of the test so either way you lose money.

"Feels" is the most useless and absurd gauge of a peptide, especially for anyone who has never been on any GLP-1 previously (I won't even go into the madness of people starting out with reta).

Having your product tested is the only way to get an answer. If you decide against testing, that's understandable, but either way, speculating isn't going to provide an answer.

The jury is still out on this one. I have what seems to be an ineffective vial of Retatrutide. Having lost 70 pounds in 6 months, reaching my goal weight and experiencing various side effects, including the suppression of raging autoimmune inflammation, I'd say I have at least some feel for what real Retatrutide does to and for me.

The vial is going for testing today and we will soon know.

Maybe the lab comes back and says it's 20mg of Retatrutide, as it should be. If so, maybe there are other reasons (BAC water for example) for it's ineffectiveness. However BT labs is nearby. Off I go.

Here is what BT labs said: "I am sorry to hear that you suspect that your Reta is ineffective - unfortunately we do see it more often than we would like"

I test all of my GLP kits no matter if the vendor has a COA or not. All of my test have come back as legit. I pay $225 to test. I have a slow response to all GLPs so just going by feeling does not mean it is bad. I didn’t start losing until I reached 4mg and even then it was super slow. The only side effects I saw was constipation and acne. Sounds like you may feel more comfortable going with a local wellness center. I’ve seen where they are offering Reta for $200 in my area. I assume that is for one month but I’ve never inquired. I just saw an ad.

You can always start your own group test. Even just a few people would help to really reduce the costs. Reta is very popular for group tests, especially with the most popular vendors. (So is elora from Uther, since that is the only vendor that has shipped elora yet, with Changsha elora still in production.)

For the future, even just buying the same batch as a friend could reduce testing costs by half. And some people choose vendors based on their popularity for getting group tested.

I don't know, but it doesn't seem to be an issue. Freedom does the same thing, and I guess other labs as well.

No, it's not.

It has long been established, well before the advent of GLP-1s that "feels" is pretty meaningless (and applies equally to a variety of other substances). And while small percentage of experienced peptide users may be able to "feel" a difference, a brand new peptide user as in this case may as well be relying on a Ouija board or the force.

The unfortunate irony that we have here is that "feels" shouldn't be the basis for testing; the testing should have been done before feels ever became a consideration.

Unless you have previously used a specific peptide, the lack of side effects is not a very good gauge on trying to determine if you received bunk product, or an entirely different product altogether. As others have mentioned, the only way to know for sure you have what you paid for is to get it tested. If you are not able to do that on your own, your best bet is to join a group test. For people that are new to grey, there is a certain US based vendor that I always recommend, ONLY because the vendor has a massive following that consistently does group testing, and testing costs becomes much more affordable. It is still not a guarantee that the test will come back good, but at least you wont be out as much.
