FedEx tariff bill

Someone else receive an invoice for a delivery out of China?

It is real.

A parcel arrived from China for me last week, and a FedEx bill for tariffs plus fees showed up today.

The tariff came to $3 and change. That part is nothing. What stings is FedEx tacking on $15.

One more argument for ordering from US warehouses.
 
DHL hit me with the same thing. They charged $24 total, covering both the tariff and their fee!
 
A few weeks back, I heard that if my order had to be shipped from CN, tariffs would have made it pricier. Luckily, they managed to replenish the US warehouse, so there was no issue.
 
I received one too. Just settle it. That beats handing them an excuse to mess with you.
 
Yesterday I received an email from Fedex that was quite similar. Have you settled it?

Yep, that's exactly what arrived, and I went ahead and settled it. The charge is real—not some fraudulent scheme. I figured not paying could cause problems down the line with orders I place later.

Strange that this subject surfaced.... over on a hk thread somebody went at me as if the whole thing was impossible and I was fabricating.... seems the exposure didn't sit well with folks, so shipping got bumped to 70 and they're covering it now. Yet apparently I was inventing things....
