According to vendor kit labels, lyophilized peptides are good for 2 years from the manufacturing date - is that assuming room temperature storage? And does purity stay stable that whole time?

I’m looking at buying a personal stockpile (about 3 years worth) of a specific batch that was manufactured 8 months ago, and I’m wondering if that would last in the freezer or if I should just hold out for a more recent batch. Just concerned that it’s been sitting probably at room temp in some warehouse for 8 months.

I had a vial of Tirzepatide 30mg purity tested at TrustPointe Analytics this past week. The batch was manufactured 10/02/25 and still got 99.8% purity. I can only imagine how that vial was stored during that time. I don't get that vial back, but the rest are stored in my freezer.

No, it's 2 weeks. It's already too late. Send them to me, I have an eco-friendly recycling process.

The “official” datasheets say one year in the fridge, two years in the freezer.

Most people here are betting it will last longer. Because this has been reported for other peptides under the same conditions.

We'll really know what's left in the vials in a year or two when someone who has been storing them runs a test.

Personally, I'm counting on the fact that the vials are overfilled by about 20% to compensate for any potential degradation. My next order will be for 2 years, maybe 3 years, of Reta. I'll keep them in the fridge, not the freezer, to reduce the risk of mannitol crystallizing in the excipient. In a recent thread, someone reported that their vendor advised against freezer storage, but they didn't say whether that was the problem with the excipient.
