Preface:

I’ve had trouble staying asleep my whole life. My parents had to make a rule that I couldn’t leave my bedroom until 6am when I was a toddler. I once woke them up to ask if I could leave because the clock said “five five five”.

I reliably get 5.5-6.5 hrs of sleep every night and I’ve slept 8 hours only a handful of time each year. I have no problem falling asleep which is what every supplement seems geared to helping with.

So a few nights ago I decided to load up a syringe with Epitalon (2mg) and take it during my first wake up which is usually at midnight. So far this has given me a second bout of extended deep sleep. Which to be honest I never really lacked deep sleep I was getting 2hrs a night. But then I would remain groggy enough to lay in bed and catch tiny bits more rem in the a.m. versus the pounding piston of my heart sending me off into the world at hours most would be surprised to learn there was an a.m. version of.

I’ll update this but all I can say is I feel amazing

I have always slept just ok, but peps (of all kinds) seem to have a negative affect my sleep...I am already shopping for a few of the sleep peps and posts like yours give me hope... 👍

I am glad it seems to be working for you!

This is very interesting to hear, and I appreciate you sharing.

My biggest trouble is falling asleep (can take up to 1.5 hours, and I use audiobooks to lull me there because otherwise my brain just keeps running around unless I have something to gently focus on). The worst is when I have to wake and use the bathroom, because it’ll take me forever to get back into sleep - so then 2-3 hours of my sleep time is gone.

When you do mid-sleep shots, I’m assuming you use a pen for easy dosing while drowsy?

Glad it worked for you. I really love the sleep I get during an epi cycle. I will say that here recently I have followed the advice of some of the other forum members and tried glycine to help with sleep and it has helped out a bunch as well. My sleep hasn't been as good as when I run epi, but it has improved nicely.

I heave heard that some L-Theanine before bed helps calm your brain down so you can more easily fall asleep. I am about to make some sleep supplements with magnesium glycinate and L-Theanine in them to see if it helps at all.

L-Theanine and Gycine and Mag Glycinate are all kinds of good for sleep. I take those as well as a low dose Melatonin (.03mg) with Gaba (500 mg) Ashwahgandha (300mg) and Apigenin (50 mg) and Taurine (2 grams).. and it's like my sleep cocktail.. I just started taking it again, I had to "stop" for a recent Septoplasty surgery and my sleep is scoring higher and higher every night now... I should add Epitalon back on to REALLY see what happens!

Most of those supplements are good for health and longevity in general, so win-win.

Yes, Agree!

My GP kind of gave me a weird look when I told him about my supplements in general.

At the same time it was the "holy shit, this guy has done his homework..." 🤣🤣😅😅

I’m taking glycine, ashwaganda, taurine, magnesium glycinate, Ltheonine, and probably other things I’m forgetting already

Yeah man!

It's bad.. I have a list of current supplements and a "out of rotation" storage cabinet where stuff I've tried and they "didn't do anything" go... maybe.... 😂😂(I may use them again, you never know??...)

100% and I’m happy to be taking all of those I feel great and I even feel rested but just trying to hit new highs

I’ll keep reporting on the midnight Epitalon once I get more sleep data from my watch

I started taking Magnesium Glycinate this past week. Slept like a baby for the first three nights, but yesterday was Reta pin day so that was the real test, and I was up from 3am-4:30am. Eventually, I did fall back asleep for few more hours. Wish I could cycle Epitalon more often, but that's a no-no, sadly. If Mag Gly works for every day other than pin day, it's still worth it.

What’s the logic on limiting Epitalon?

Or should I read pepedia?

Going to run it for twenty days now, then some say just twice a year right?

I find having a PB and jam on a slice or half granola bar really calms the Reta restlessness

Yes, pep-pedia. Most protocols say 20-30 days and no more than 3 times a year. Some RSs do the Anela protocol which is the first 10 days of every month, but I get more benefit from a longer cycle. 10 days was just a tease for me. I usually have a little something a couple hours before bed, but my appetite suppression is highest the evening of a pin. I'll grab some protein bars and try to get one down.

Me too, and still can't fall asleep. DSIP helped, though.

Getting such mixed messages about DSIP

Any major things you noticed with that?

DSIP either works wonders for some or does absolutely nothing for others. I pair 500mcg with 500mcg of CJC no DAC before bed and sleep incredibly well. I was able to taper off doxylamine succhinate after years of taking 2 per night. Not only can I fall asleep without those pills, but I get deep sleep and dream for long, and more pleasant dreams every night. I am guessing genetics determine if it works or doesn't (?). On the other hand, epitalon did the opposite for me - made my insomnia worse and kept me up all night, go figure. You have to try and see what works. Buy a single vial of each before commiting to a kit that might do nothing for you.

I'm hoping to get to that level of sleep eventually. I'm about 2 1/2 weeks out from having a septoplasty (w/nasal valve repair & Bilateral Turbinate Reduction) for my recent UARS diagnosis... So my nose is still a little blocked and waiting for the long term healing.

My left side had all the heavy hitting done to it so as of right now I could throw the entire peptide sink at it and I'll still have problems till it's healed.

I do have some DSIP that I could try but I'm currently in a an Epitalon cycle myself (500 mcg a night, about an hour before bed).

That sounds rough! I hope you find some relief! Maybe some KLOW can help heal post-op. Good luck on your procedure!

Your sleep sounds a lot like mine...although it seems there are a lot of sleepless folks around here 🙂 The Epithalon cycle I did didn't do a whole lot for me other than provide more deep sleep but the DSIP and L-theanine I have been running after that has been chef's kiss.

I have been a VERY light sleeper for a long, long time and once I was woken up, I almost never fell back asleep. It now takes quite a lot to wake me up and I'm almost always able to fall back asleep. I went from sleeping an average of 4 hours a night to an average of 6 hours a night with far less wake ups. It's usually pain that gets me out of bed now and there isn't a lot I can do about that but the 6 hours is lovely.

Epitalon and I are in a committed relationship. 👫❤️

I'm not the greatest sleeper, and this is a peptide that has consistently made a noticeable difference for me. I run 1–2 mg daily for 20 days, twice a year... religiously now

I did try the first 10 days of every month bc I like it so much... , but it just wasn't nearly as effective. I also run DSIP for 8 weeks alongside it and between cycles (with breaks).
