Hello everyone,

I just picked up a 3D printer — a Bambu X2D, in case anyone was wondering. After browsing both this community and Bambu's forum, I've noticed there's a huge range of accessories, storage solutions, add-ons, gadgets, and more, all relevant to peptide research and similar pursuits.

I figured I'd launch this thread as a resource for anyone hunting for prints that could be handy or just enjoyable. Also, to see what all of you have made for your own use. A few examples of things I'd be excited to find: vial freezer storage cases or inserts, pen cases, organization, pen jacket, convenience gadgets.

I intend to post links to prints as I make them, so I can give feedback once I've actually tried them out irl.

It would help to know what each item actually costs you. The markup on the peak inserts looks insane, though I might be mistaken.

Awesome idea, man. For a while now I've kept myself from diving in because I worried I'd end up printing practically every object around the house. One piece of friendly guidance: put the printer out in the garage, since the fumes are toxic (this comes from research plus multiple friends who have them). And since that community is huge, you'll come across tons of designs over there. Happy printing!

How toxic the fumes are largely comes down to which filament you're using. A lot of materials are safe enough, but it's still worth keeping in mind

I checked them out some time ago, and I'm still intrigued and considering it. For a retired guy like me, it could be a fantastic pastime. Was it roughly $900, and did you buy straight from them?

3D printing is a total mystery to me, yet a package showed up yesterday from an Etsy seller who clearly knows their craft. For the first time ever, my needles aren't bent, and despite arthritis in my hands, I can grip it and draw back the proper dose without struggle. This morning's routine injections were completely transformed.

I picked up an X1C about 2 years back… it's a gimmick, though a useful 1.

The printing itself doesn't cost much; what matters is the design and how well it's done.

I own several 3D printers, and teaching 3D printing is actually how I make my living. Up to now, I've been printing a variety of holders and containers for my peptides and supplies. Head over to makerworld and search for a user called Ziah. The designs I printed are his. The only change I made was adding text to one of the boxes.

My guess is that your course blends CAD with additive manufacturing, right? On its own, 3D printing just doesn't seem like it would fill enough material.

Yeah, I bought it straight from them, but since I picked up quite a few attachments and filament too, the grand total came to $1,500 once tax and shipping were included.

Might need to drop this into a different thread, but what are folks using to store bigger vials, 5 & 10ml? Are you still going with hydrapeak food jars, or just plain non-insulated storage cases?

They're available on Amazon and Etsy. For my part, I just have the 5 and 10ml sizes — either I reconstitute a large vial, or I fit two into a single one.

Absolutely. I work with CAD, slicing, and 3D printing across no fewer than 3 distinct modalities.
