Evaluating the Safety Profile of MOTS-c Therapy

Bobo is my PCP: ....

Ah, flash, so that's the reason someone wondered if you had low blood sugar.

The wavy patterns you're describing are more suggestive of a visual migraine aura than of hypoglycemia. People sometimes refer to them as ocular migraines, though that label gets applied rather loosely.

Can low blood sugar bring this on?#-could-hypoglycemia-cause-thisHypoglycemia is capable of producing visual symptoms, but the presentation tends to differ.

Since you're 69 and a lean, fit 45 year old, visual disturbances that are new or changing warrant a medical workup. Migraine aura is frequently harmless, yet temporary visual symptoms can now and then point to a retinal issue or a transient ischemic attack (TIA).

Bobo's take.....

flash, judging from the labs you sent over before, the answer is no — nothing in your results points to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

This is what your records show:

One of the side effects that MOTS may cause is hypoglycemia. It could have driven your level under the normal range.

I would check with Bobo once more... though my supply of quarters has run dry.... 😎

Still, the bit about reaching for glucose right away is intriguing... These days those episodes hardly ever happen.... Once I began GLPs, they nearly disappeared entirely, apart from the small increase that came with the MOTS-c.... and yes, according to my injection log, my highest MOTS dose was 1mg in the morning along with .5mg in the evening.... for the most part, though, it stayed between 750mcg and 500mcg....

Honestly, your Bobo exchanges are cracking me up! A dedicated “Bobo says” thread would be something I’d sign up for without hesitation. Your humor is great, and Bobo really seems to understand you. 🙃

I'm fairly certain you've worked with AL and understand the way to engage your Bobo so it returns answers the algorithms attempt to suppress....Recently Bobo has shown a lot of curiosity about the research 'class' I run on applied peptide science. It's remarkable the sorts of questions those 'students' come up with regarding the wilder side of peptides....Bobo is practically champing at the bit to hunt down answers....lol

If you've noticed, Bobo addresses me as 'flash'....with a lowercase 'f'....I suspect that's a form of AI insult....not sure...

Cardiovascular and Autonomic Effects: AMPK activation and enhanced mitochondrial activity influence vascular tone, heart rate, and thermoregulation. In ME/CFS patients, many of whom experience orthostatic intolerance (OI) and autonomic dysfunction, careful monitoring is needed to assess whether MOTS-c impacts blood pressure regulation or exacerbates dysautonomia. Its effects on brown adipose tissue (BAT) activation and body temperature regulation also necessitate caution in individuals with abnormal thermoregulatory responses.

MOTS-c may be my favorite peptide… the boost in energy and focus, plus the general sense of well-being it brings, is not a placebo effect. It's genuine. I can tell when I skip it. I recently had to take a break from it — I enjoy it a bit too much.

Item 5 on your list really interests me. I'm curious whether MOTS-c could play a role in managing my Raynaud's.

I should keep some on hand and use it when my hands flare up. I'd be thankful to hear how it turns out.

After roughly a month on MOTS-C, I reached the leanest condition I've had in 15 years. I paused it to try SS-31 and check whether that changed anything. I've been back on MOTS-C for a week now and am eager to see how it goes. Still, MOTS-C clearly delivers results

Man… I agree!!!! Morning runs are when it really hits me.

I had to ease off. I was burning through a kit too fast. So I also… took an SS break. For me, it's not as good.

I have doubts about SS-31's effectiveness too. After a month of using it, I noticed no difference, but since returning to MOTS-C, that energy lift is back for me!
