So I got tirz 60, ghkcu 100 and tesa 10 kits from ERP...

The T60 batch number is different from the COA.

For the CU100 kit, there's no batch number at all, and the caps are red, but the COA picture shows clear transparent caps.

TSM10 has no COA listed on the website.

If COAs are advertised like this but don't actually mean anything, what's the point? (the vendor claims the caps might be different, but the contents match what's advertised.)

COAs get advertised mainly to move more product toward buyers who lack the knowledge to evaluate them. Real insight into what a purchase actually contains comes from 3rd party testing.

COA's get done by a vendor to win customer confidence at the outset; past that, remember it is still grey market, and COA's for every kit you purchase are not something they can be relied on to provide. Want it tested? Have the test done yourself, or get into a group buy, and pricing may come down on purchases depending on how big the group order is.

Tirz 60 and ghkcu 100 are showing the same batch number. Wouldn't you expect Janoshit software to detect that and raise a flag?

Nicely put...

That completely slipped past me!

According to the vendor, batch numbers are not printed on the kits—the digits beneath the barcode do not serve as batch identifiers—and the cap colours may not align with what is shown on the COAs.

That doesn't sound promising. Comes across as a dismissive response.

Nope, the caps should not differ in color from what the COA shows. I used to back ERP and dropped a few k there, but their quality keeps sliding. Their telegram, when I last looked, was packed with gripes, and I no longer see them as a go-to vendor.

What's the reason for that? A testing lab's job isn't to guarantee a smooth deal for you. All they do is run tests on whatever sample gets shipped their way.

In this situation, a big supplier working with the same testing company ought to never recycle a batch number for another product. That's a pretty simple thing to spot.

My take is that the photo included with a COA isn't meant to let you verify a match. Its purpose is to show whoever paid for the testing that the vial they submitted is the one that actually got tested. Unless you were the one who ordered that test, the picture tells you nothing useful.
