"Background: tirzepatide (TZP) is the first approved dual agonist acting on both glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), and it has shown neuroprotective activity in preclinical models and in early observational studies. This review maps and appraises the pre-clinical and clinical evidence assembled so far for its possible neuroprotective role in idiopathic intracranial hypertension, brain tumour response, neurovestibular disorders, cerebrovascular outcomes, neuroinflammation, and neurodegenerative disease (Parkinson's and Alzheimer's)."
