Does Anyone Know What Happened to quallіgator?

I owe this guy a lot of thanks for that list.

Back in October of 2024, a reddit post pointed me toward the list, and that's how I came across his website.

Even though I was active on both his forum and this one, it didn't take long for me to see the problems that come with keeping a list.

I didn't stick around much on that forum because it felt cliquish and judgmental to me. (Others may have had a different experience.)

My first gray account was actually made on his forum, but I soon came to see that the whole list idea was problematic at best and clearly misleading.

This site has rules, but I know from personal experience how strongly it opposes censorship and how the culture here has let it grow.

Summary:

There is no magic list. A static list can't work given how this distribution model operates, and a menu reduces our ability to think critically about what we buy.

Without him, I never would have found this space, developed buying strategies, gained knowledge about the hobby, or spent so many hours reading and collaborating with others to sharpen my skills. He built something that looked like gold and it ultimately guided me to the real goldmine, which is this forum.
Yes — he was the one who introduced me to peptides on Reddit.

I appreciate the explanation. I enjoyed spending time there since it had a somewhat cozy feel, even if a few people came across as rather pedantic finger waggers. That didn't bother me. There's room for all kinds. I picked up a lot and came across links to plenty of useful information. So, thanks to the gator for his efforts.

Exactly. A vendor might carry an A+ rating on one list and an F on a different one — or even swing from A to F on that same list within a single day.

And because the people who put these lists together will never reveal whether vendors are paying to be included and/or to get their rating (to say nothing of those who flat-out deny it while lying), the safest approach IMHO is to treat every list as compromised and not worth trusting.

I still believe the smartest approach is to look into who seems most dependable right now, gather a group of friends to place orders simultaneously so there's a real chance of receiving the same batch, and then split the testing costs to find out whether everyone got lucky or not.

A member location tracking controversy led several of the foundation people to leave, and after that I'd imagine the site simply faded out the way blogs typically do over time. It's been some time since my last visit, though on the final couple of occasions I stopped by, activity seemed pretty sparse.
A handful of the original posters got banned by him, and that rubbed quite a few of us the wrong way.

Such a sad tale. The founder died of suffocation once his head traveled so far up his own rear that he was unable to free it. Rest in power, my scaley friend.
Is that an exaggeration, or has D really passed away?

Same here, that was my experience too. The owner was open about his work on Reddit, fully aware that talking about peptides would get him banned. Without him, I wouldn't have had any idea how to begin a pep journey. When I found him on his own site, he was very welcoming and went out of his way to help. It's a shame the site is down.

I feel the same way. He was actually the one who pointed me toward this place and Peppy’s. Had he not done that, I could still be buying compound 2 years down the line!!

So that's something he left behind.

His red flags list was useful to me — though I used it to figure out who NOT to trust rather than who TO trust. As time went on, I realized that even that use of it had its problems. STG also “banned” the vendor I prefer, and I still believe the reason was a silly one that had nothing to do with quality control.

I came across a post discussing this some time ago. From what I gathered, he wanted to share a list he'd put together of "reliable" vendors, wasn't permitted to do so, and as a result he departed and launched a forum of his own.

I only learned about that after I'd already left quallіgator on account of him. I'd raised a question about something I observed while reconstituting, but he said it wasn't possible, so I shared photos. He then pushed for the conversation to move to DMs, where he bullied me and kept arguing in circles until I finally gave up and left.
I'm sorry you went through that. Arguing and bullying don't help anyone, and they certainly didn't help the discussion you were trying to have. I can relate, and so can plenty of others.

In the beginning he was helpful, and I'm fairly sure it was through him that I found this forum. Once QA was over, though, he had a habit of making people feel small — sarcastic little jabs that weren't funny.

My own falling-out with him was over abbreviations, of all things. He was adamant about not using vendor abbreviations, but somehow that turned into no abbreviations ever at all (WTF?). Anyone who knows me knows I work in medicine and try to spell things out in plain English whenever I can. But I was in a conversation about EBV where I used the abbreviation without writing out Epstein-Barr Virus, and he just went off on me. I messaged him privately about his attitude and behavior, in a very civil tone, and I never heard from him again. That was probably a year ago or more. Not too long after that, I believe, the map showing most of our locations showed up on the site. A group of us pointed out that this was doxxing and not acceptable, and some people got banned. Of those who weren't banned, many never really came back after that.
