Do all peptides have such life changing effects?

I have been using Tirzepatide for about 4 months now. it has really be an amazing addition to my life. It's been one of the few changes I've made in my life that has lived up to the hype I had head before hand. I have been going down the rabbit hole about all the other peptides that are out there and wondering how substantial an effect they have on the folks that use them. My question is, do any of you have a peptide that has made a huge impact on your life? Is there a sort of diminishing returns as you add more? Is Tirzepatide just a really special peptide for results? Am I just really responding well to Tirzepatide and others find it mid? I'm Just curious about other peoples experience with this.

Congrats on your success! 🎉

Tirz worked amazingly well for me, it must have done a huge number on inflammation on top of a 100 lb weight loss, because I went from complete misery to feeling like I’m 25 again. Premenopausal, I had a whole lot of weight in my face. I went down a head size? 😂 It’s crazy to see myself in the mirror.

I suppose Reta could have done all of that for me too, but I was too new to all this a year ago to really take that risk. I do have a kit of R10 if I feel like trying it out, but I’m more than happy with Tirz. So happy I have like 5 years in the freezer.

The other thing that made a giant difference for me is topical ghk, I’m pretty sure it helped my rosacea heal.

Wow, what an amazing transformation! I can't believe you went down a head size!! Do you think you would ever stack Reta and Tirz together? I've read people doing that to keep the dose low on both. You also get the added benefit of the food noise suppression of Triz while also getting the glucagon receptor component of Reta. I have a kit of Reta too but not sure when i would add it or switch out the Triz...I'm still only on 5mg and having great results still so hesitate to change anything. I recently picked up some GHK-cu vials but need to reconstitute and check it out. People seem to love the topical.

I just started stacking, so I don’t have many results from other peptides yet besides tirz, but GHK-Cu is definitely making my skin soft and glowier.

However, there is a great thread about the peptides people have really liked and gave them noticeable results. (I made a summary of the thread on p. 11)

Most things beyond the GLP1 space overall have little real clinical evidence, harder to see clear benefit and seem to vary more person to person from what I have seen.

Thanks for linking that thread. I actually found it after I posted mine. I am excited to try GHK-Cu given how your skin has responded to it. Thanks!

I think you’ll get a lot of anecdotal experiences here. Personally, KPV was great for knocking out inflammation related to PSA/RA. And also, this one is super anecdotal, but I just finished a 300 mg cycle of both SS-31 and MOTS-c. 2 months, fasting insulin down, days I golf or train a bit, mots-c definitely added endurance, and maybe a tiny bit of strength.

Some of these non-GLP peptides are actual/commercial medications like with TA-1 (in other countries), PT-141 (FDA approved for a subset of females), tesa, HGH, HCG, SS-31 (for a rare disorder), etc. The question for those is less do they work, and more if they work for you personally.

Like with tesa or HGH, you can see your IGF-1 going up. But is that more good than bad over time if your IGF-1 is already normal? Or for most males, would HCG be better to preserve muscle while losing weight with GLPs?

I think Bpc-157 is pretty dang legit. It's made a huge difference in quality of life for me!

Plus the fact that it's not allowed in professional sports is telling for its legitimate effectiveness.

You really have to look at them as individual peps. Some of them are already approved and in use for various conditions, others banned from sports, some validated only in rodent tests and others not even that just an appeal to "well its natural and already in the body". The evidence base is all over the place for peptides generally so you have to look into what the evidence is for each one.

I'm glad you mentioned this.

After my second steroid shot 2 months ago in my shoulder I thought I would end up having surgery for a bone spur/rotater cuff. After reading one man's success w/ BPC I decided to try it. I'm on day 25 now and my shoulder is about 80% healed. I'm blown away! After all the shots and the physical therapy (and money) $50 worth of peptides gave me more relief than anything. Again, I'm just blown away!

For me personally, no. GLPs give huge, noticable effects. The others I have tried have not. I haven't tried bpc157 or Cagrilintide yet, though, and anecdotally those two seem like maybe they'll be noticeable.

So far I'm only on reta. I just ordered a kit of GHK-cu. Really excited to see how that will help me.

Perhaps one day there will be a magic cure-all peptide. But for now, no, GLP-1s work for most people, most of the time, while other peptides tend to be much less consistent.

Personally, I’m a big fan of glutathione and KPV. The next tier for me would be SS-31 and MOTS-c. I could live without everything else I’ve tried so far, including GLP-1s.

There are diminishing returns to everything in life, including peptides. Ultimately, you have to try them yourself to figure out what works for you.

You've already had the gamut of replies but one more in the pile.

There are a few compounds that just like pharmaceuticals will have the desired (powerful) effect on 99.9% of users. GLP-1's are one of those.

The majority of the stuff on vendors list are not in that category. Think of them just like anything in the supplement realm. Very little research, questionable sources, questionable active ingredients, unknown outcomes. Embrace that going in and you will be fine.

I tell people that I talk to about peptides who seem interested that GLP1s are life changing and the best decision I ever made in my life, the rest of them in evidence and efficacy are somewhere between well below creatine and worthless.

I have tried 12 different peptides. For me the second best one (pt-141) is about 20% as of life-changing as reta was.

It's different for everybody. I have came to the conclusion that most people who have had significant results from peptides, had the results, becouse something was noticeably wrong.

If triz help you in a life changing way, you probably had a food noise problem, or you were always hungry problem.

If bpc works wonders for you, you probably had a injury that needed attention.

If pt-141 works great, you probably had libido problems.

I think you should try all the peps you can get your hands on. A freezer full of peps, it a lot cheaper than the associated cost of obesity. So financially your already ahead. You have already discovered tirz, if I were you, I would take all the money you save from not buy a bunch of food and spend it on peps that could further increase your quality of life. Maybe you will waste some money here and there, but that's ok.

short answer

NO

Not even close

There's reason glp1 are a DRUG and all the other peptides around for decades have never been produced as such.

Don't give me that BS about patents ... drug companies can add an ester or easily make any of these patentable. So there's profits there if they worked as well as these GLP1s.

Period

I think you make a good point. Most people who find a peptide they really is because it solves an issue they have.
