How do two people end up on the same page with this? Is it just a matter of similar mindsets? I hid my pep use from my wife, who is a nurse and a real "goodie two-shoes." I only told her recently, and our reactions were far from matching. When I brought up the idea that she might think about starting, she took it as an insult. Does anyone have advice?

Depending on what you suggested, I can easily understand why she'd feel insulted. If it was a GLP, then you essentially told her she's fat, lol.

I remember a guy on a PED/steroid forum who described glp as "cheating". It still makes me chuckle when I think about it

People hold some really odd views on peptides...

At first I didn't tell my wife that I'd started Reta, and she was upset when she found out. Then she got on it herself, and now she keeps asking me for the gb updates. She wants to try so many.

In my view, it happens when two people want the same thing and one of them watches the other succeed.

Enjoy your best life, and should she choose to follow, give her a hand.

just my 2cents..

It seems strange and worrying to me that people hide things from their partners. That just doesn't strike me as a healthy relationship.

Before I began, I talked it over with my wife. She's a nurse, and she wasn't pleased about me going grey market, but once she saw my results she started taking KPV for her inflammation (she's already on prescribed tirz.)

My wife and I discussed it and agreed to try it. We began right at the start of the year and are both still using it. I'm on a maintenance dose, while she's at 12mg. Last Tuesday we added 2.5mg of Tirz to her regimen, and she'll receive another today. I handle all the reconstitution and administer her injections.

We'd discussed it earlier, but my doctor wants around $300 per person every month. Then she caught a news segment featuring a guy being interviewed. According to him, he was buying it directly from China on the cheap. The piece was clearly meant to be a frightening warning about how risky that is. It backfired completely LOL

Has she noticed any changes?

If you were the one bringing up a GLP, she may well have heard it as an insult.

In our case, wifey and I began at the same time. Convincing her was fairly simple: the Reta went to work curbing her appetite, and she was a big fan of that. The Wolverine was an even simpler pitch, since it cleared up the Hip Pain she had been putting up with for several years.

EASY SELL!!

Before I told her, I had already been using it for a few weeks, and past experiences were the reason I held back. I said sorry and gave my word that I would never keep anything from her again. That is the only thing of this kind I have ever done. Judging the health of someone's relationship from such limited information feels like an overgeneralization to me. Sure, I made a mistake, but I took responsibility for it and fixed it. Nobody's perfect.

This is pretty much my standard reply, but it's simply the truth...

Look, I understand you'd rather I stuck to stuff from "e-why-willie," but at the pharmacy that still costs more than $1000 a month at cash price, and close to $500 a month buying direct. That's ridiculous, and that steep price is really the whole problem here.

Instead of more or less throwing away $12,000 or $6,000 of our joint money annually, I can achieve the same results for only a few hundred dollars over a full year.

So once buying it is priced sensibly, I'll happily return to the pharmacy.

In other words: if the 'powers that be' expect us to use 'medications they approve of'... then rule number one has to be pricing that medication at a level we can actually afford.

That's my guess. She hasn't actually commented on it, though she's barely eating and hasn't grumbled about receiving it. The moment this window tint guy clears out, I'll give her the shot.

The suggestion was made very gently. She isn't really overweight in any significant way. Over the last 3–4 years she's become quite self-conscious about her body. I figured she would be enthusiastic about it.

I never cheated on her.

A lot of it comes down to how you bring things up and letting each of you keep your own views, thoughts and decisions.

My husband and I don't hide things from each other, and sometimes he shares more than I'd like to hear 😂. He's the sort who volunteers things about himself. Take his need for speed — he loves riding his motorcycles fast (50+ years of riding, a bad crash before he turned 20, that kind of thing). The other day he tells me he's aiming for 120 mph and hit 117 (he was with 2 other buddies, probably competing over who'd go fastest, idk).

I'll never be fine with it, but he's an adult and I respect his right to make his own decisions, even when they look nuts to me. I tell him I love him and to not make me a widow, then I let it go and don't stress over it. The one hard limit I set is when I'm riding with him — we stay close to the speed limit. He honors and respects that.

When I brought up peptides and grey, he said let's do it. I trust you'll figure it out.

When I finally told my husband I was interested in starting tirz, I was genuinely nervous about how he'd take it. His answer? "I want some too!" That's been his reaction to every peptide I've mentioned wanting to try.
