Trying to learn more about peptides.

I'm digging into CJC, and I've seen and heard plenty from folks who've used this peptide, but I still don't have a full grasp of it.

So, cutting to the chase, could anyone help me out with these questions:

1. What exactly is CJC (I know it's a growth hormone) — and more to the point, does it act more like ipamorelin or TESAMORELIN?

2. What does DAC vs no DAC mean?

3. What is it used for?

CJC-1295 (CJC with DAC) has not gained much popularity, in part because a person died several hours after receiving it. That happened two decades ago, in a small clinical trial:

"A Phase II study of a lipodystrophy treatment developed by Canadian biotech company, ConjuChem, has been halted after the death of a study participant."

"Participants were randomised to receive once-weekly injections of either a three-week escalating low dose of CJC-1295 (at 60, 90, 120mcg/kg); a three-week escalating high dose (at 60, 120, 240mcg/kg); or a placebo, and then continue for a further nine weeks."

"The individual concerned was a man who died a few hours after receiving his eleventh CJC-1295 injection."

More recently, within the past year, a death in Australia was connected to CJC-1295 (CJC w/ DAC) together with ipa:

"The Coroner’s Court confirmed it was investigating a death related to the use of growth-stimulating peptides (CJC 1295 and ipamorelin) prescribed by a medical practitioner."

Given these 2 deaths, the CJC-1295 might have placed cardiovascular strain on the body, or it might have triggered a severe allergic reaction. Neither case provided a cause of death. Over at Reddit, multiple reports describe CJC w/o DAC also being a problem for anaphylaxis.

Even if I were in a YOLO mood, cosmetic worries would keep me away from CJC w/ DAC, since the odds of developing skin tags are higher, just like with HGH.

(My spiel about the GH peptides: tesa may be safer than HGH per se, but if cloudy tesa and allergic reactions are things you'd rather not deal with, low-dose HGH is the way to go. HGH also gives more bang for the buck. Personally, I'm not a fan of any of the GH peptides. I'd rather use HCG to prevent muscle loss and the peptides in KLOW for recovery.)

As a GHRH analogue, CJC-1295 belongs to the same family as tesamorelin. Ipamorelin, by contrast, is a ghrelin mimetic that acts on a different receptor, and that difference is the reason CJC and ipa are so commonly combined. The version without DAC (also called mod GRF 1-29) has a half-life of only around 30 minutes, which means every injection produces a brief pulse, and most users pair it with ipa. When DAC is present, it attaches to albumin and extends the half-life to about a week, making it a once- or twice-weekly injection that maintains a steady level rather than producing pulses, the effect commonly described as GH bleed. Having used both, I see them as separate tools rather than one being clearly superior, so it pays to research which pattern fits your particular goal.

What reasons would you give for choosing cjc with dac?.
