If you were in my position, which would you pick: CJC or Tesa?

I recently wrapped up a cut with Reta (retatrutide), and a DEXA scan puts my body fat at 10% right now. Over the next 2–3 weeks I intend to taper the Reta off gradually; by the end of the cut I had worked up to a max dose of 2.5 mg.

At this point I want to move into a modest caloric surplus. During the late part of the cut, my overnight recovery felt quite poor and my sleep quality was low, even with 8 hours of sleep. I'm hoping to support my natural growth hormone output and get better sleep.

Tesa is the more potent GHRH and runs noticeably pricier; its headline benefit is reducing visceral fat, which carries less weight once you're already around 10%. If your goals are sleep and recovery as you taper off Reta and increase intake a little, CJC no DAC + Ipa taken before bed is the more affordable, well-established route and the one I'd begin with. I've personally used CJC + Ipa, and later on you can switch the CJC out for Tesa if you're after more from it.

I've just begun a cycle of CJC/Ipa. Sleep got better right away and it was very noticeable. For 3 nights in a row I've slept 8 hours straight with vivid dreams. I can't remember the last time I could claim that.

Those anaphylaxis ER accounts involving both CJC and Tesa have me somewhat worried. Curious whether anyone here has dealt with that. They're everywhere on reddit, but well, it's reddit.

Also, my weight hasn't moved in a couple weeks, so I'm wondering if any of you gained a few pounds of water weight on CJC/Ipa. I think I look different and believe I've dropped fat and simply swapped it for water weight (which happens periodically during weight loss anyway), but I'm curious.

Will you be tapering off reta entirely, or dropping to a lower maintenance dose? I've come across posts discussing stopping and restarting, and from what I gather, quitting reta completely could make a future reta cycle harder to get going again if you decide to go back on it later. That said, this isn't based on my own experience.

My plan is to come off Retatrutide entirely. My time on it has been fairly short — roughly 3 months, with the highest dose reaching 2 mg.

Whether I use it again later is still up in the air; it hinges on whether I choose to lean back down to about 10% body fat. My guess is that Retatrutide will still do its job well a year from now.
