Can I name a vendor in a complaint post?

If the only problem with your review is that the transaction is still in progress, maybe you can still post your review if/when you receive your package? If a vendor lies about or is frequently unable to keep track of their US inventory, that is definitely very valuable information to know for anybody considering using that vendor in the future.

Suppose the OP does end up getting the package — then what would that review actually say? Something like: it arrived, just not on time, and I'm upset? We're dealing with the gray market here, not Walmart, where you can go, "complain to the manager!"...Be an adult and see your transaction through...If the product never shows up, that's when you post...
I don’t really get why this community keeps making excuses for these vendors…. Why wouldn’t we want it to work like Walmart? Shouldn’t we want and expect better service?

Sure, at these prices it’s obviously never going to reach that level, but a lot of complaints about service and shipping seem to just get brushed aside with the same all-purpose line, “You are buying from China! What, did you expect them to tell you the truth, respond after you send them money, or honor their promises?”
The reason is that plenty of folks have spent 30 years in these circles. Never before has it been this cheap, this simple, or this handy. SAP inventory systems are not something these people have. Half the time, the “warehouse”, as I picture it, is some Chinese lady’s apartments. My point is that once you look at the whole picture, believe me, things are pretty good right now. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t find vendors you like and stay with them. Still, picture heading to the grocery store, wiring cash through western union to a place like Poland based on a moderator’s tip, and waiting 3-4 weeks hoping something shows up. That’s how it was in the early days.

There's a whole lot of self-righteous anger in this thread...lol, all I have to say is:

Suppose the OP does end up with the package — then what does that review actually say? "My order showed up, just later than I wanted, and I'm upset"? We're dealing in the gray market here, not standing in Walmart where you can demand, "complain to the manager!"...Pull up your big boy/girl pants and see your deal through...If the product never arrives, that's when you post...

Sure, I understand where that comes from—but isn’t it worth pushing them to fix how they operate?

Telling folks they have no right to speak up, simply because bad service is supposedly the norm, strikes me as unfair.

Yes, I haven’t been around here long, yet that way of thinking still leaves me puzzled.

That's precisely what I was thinking. Plenty of veterans around here have dealt with scams, shipments that showed up late, products that had QA problems, and so on — so their attitude ends up being: we had to deal with it, so it's fine if you do too. I served in the military, and the old-timers there acted almost exactly the same way lol.

When people share reviews, others learn which sellers to steer clear of, and a seller with a pile of complaints will feel the consequences.

On my most recent order, the package was never sent out. After I checked in, they noticed the mistake and rushed it over.

Simply placing an order and assuming it will all work out is not enough. Stay on top of the seller, or the wait will drag on endlessly.

I doubt that's what's going on. Probably a shipping problem or something else like that.
I chose a US warehouse because I wanted the product as fast as possible. After 10 days, there’s still no tracking number, and now they’re asking me to switch my order so they can attempt to send it from China. Each day brings a new excuse, and whenever I mention a refund, they disappear for a day, only to return the following day with yet another excuse.
That happens all the time. If you're in a rush, buying gray market medication isn't the way to go — depending on Chinese drug dealers when you need something fast is a bad idea.

It happens a lot when my order comes from a CN warehouse. Local warehouses charge more, and the reason people pay that premium is to get quicker delivery. Even CN warehouses usually give you tracking within a few days.

No. The reason is that poor customer service tends to get blown out of proportion, with people immediately calling it a scam. A post will suggest it is a scam, when the real situation is an inventory problem or simply bad customer service, if you want to label it that way. On top of that, there are under- or over-dosing concerns. Endotoxin concerns. And so on. Those latter concerns tend to matter more to many people here. The bottom line is that this is not the Four Seasons. Still, go ahead and complain about customer service as much as you like. I am not claiming it has no value.

From over here on the sidelines, the view is pleasant enough while I watch the show. There could be a newcomer I noticed in this space who ends up earning the I button.

It's worth pointing out that nobody is attempting to "rush the process". Instead, what they anticipate is that the vendor will honor the delivery timeframe he/she pledged — in other words, the feature the customer probably paid extra for.

Honestly, that idea comes from America. Over the past year, I've come to see that Chinese people work from a different set of assumptions.

I'm with you on that. It comes down to a basic difference in worldview.

The West: Treat others the way you'd want to be treated yourself.

China: Cheat whenever you can

So then you have to ask yourself: "How much do I actually want to deal with them?" And also: "Would changing how they do business help them make more money from Western buyers?"

Assuming that is true, a couple of points come to mind:

I ordered from a US warehouse since I needed the material ASAP

Rushing a grey order from any source is not a smart move. Because it is grey, it can be held by customs, depends on stealth, and stock can run out. There are lots of ways it can be delayed.

now they wanna tell me to change my order

I have personally seen US orders get held up and then sent from china to a US address, which sidesteps customs coming straight to me but still adds waiting time. Nobody asked me to CHANGE MY ORDER, it was only a delay.

Some of your complaints seem fair to me, but this market does not work like buying something legaly from a company. What you are dealing with is foreign drug dealers and pirated items, things that are not supposed to be sold. Keep that in mind and don't take it too hard.

I do feel for you, maybe you need to buy a single vial from someone that specializes in US only sales to hold you over?

Good Luck!

Once more I'm puzzled about the reasoning that those factors justify withholding our reviews and settling for subpar service.

Vendors are abundant. When word gets around about how each one's offerings stack up in value — communication and logistics included — the result will probably be pricier options offering a more white glove experience, alongside budget ones where shenanigans are simply the understood baseline.

This isn't about accepting poor service as the norm. What it comes down to is recognizing that this industry's very nature prevents it from matching the standards of a fully legal, transparent operation.

Among newcomers who haven't grasped that reality, complaints would probably make up 60-70% of all reviews.

If a shipping delay alone sends you looking for a different vendor, your priorities might be misplaced. This whole space operates in a VERY grey zone, and what matters most here is the actual quality, quantity, and sterility of the product—not the hand-holding and convenience you'd get elsewhere.

Just my 2 cents...

Similar to some folks on this thread, reading through it has been quite a ride. My sympathies go out to the original poster for their frustration—it makes total sense. Plenty of us, myself included, probably got our start with compounding, and I actually came across a compounder I'd happily return to. They were excellent. Once you discover the grey market, though, a whole new avenue for sourcing our Pepitides opens up. At first it feels amazing and thrilling. Then reality sets in, and you notice that vendors aren't all on the same level. Still, I do notice that a lot of vendors use flashy promos and assurances to reel in some pinners. And when those promises fall through and the pinners voice complaints about the vendor, you all let them off the hook. You call them Chinese drug dealers. Let's give them a bit more credit than that. Allow people to be upset when promises aren't kept. That's the whole point of being here.

Confusion isn't really necessary here. Over the past year I've bought from 12 different vendors. Every one of them markets itself as quick, easy, pure, and so on. Yet their terms only promise a few narrow things, typically customs clearance and purity at 99% or thereabouts. Which vendor the poster used is unknown to me, and I have no interest in finding out, but I seriously doubt any guarantee was made about delivery within a specific timeframe. From what you describe, stock seems to have been the problem. That would be worth mentioning if and when a review appears, but the bigger question for me isn't stock at all: it's what the vendor did once the problem surfaced. Was it fixed? Were options explained and a resolution reached?

This isn't me sticking up for the vendor. As I said, I don't even know who it is. It's also not me feeling sorry for a buyer whose main gripe is that he wanted it quickly, which isn't really something the vendor owes him. If speed is what you need, there are options where you pay $200 for a vial.

When I order from a supplier overseas, I never count on whatever timeline they give me, whether or not a US warehouse is involved. If I need something right away, I have an American company that gets it to me in exactly 3 days.

Perhaps your best move is to locate a source near you that delivers fast, so you have that fallback in place. Sure, you'll pay much more, but to me there's peace of mind in knowing I can relax while my overseas order is on its way, since a local option is there for quick, dependable help when I need it.

This space doesn't always let us operate the usual way, and at times it's our own expectations that have to shift. Good luck OP

For this exact scenario, The Gonkulator kindly shared a straightforward rule (no early carve-out for USA warehouse cases, though it's clear that once the moment arrives for a proper review, that detail would get a brief mention) ...

A review should be reserved for completed transactions (or deals that have hit a deadlock following at least 60 days of attempting to fix a problem). Far too many folks leave a review and then return with regrets or additional complaints that waiting until the transaction wrapped up would have prevented. If a review contains anything like "will update...", then it's too soon to be posting a review.

The complete set of guidelines can be found on this here webpage.
