Hello everybody,

Belgium is where I was born and raised, and I'm a 34-year-old man. Gymnastics was my sport for many years in my younger days, and the lifestyle that went with it was a very active one. Injuries eventually forced me to give up competing at a high level, so my attention moved to studying and to coaching other people.

Fitness came later, paired with strict dieting, and I kept that up for years. At some point I launched my own business in the hospitality sector as a self-employed entrepreneur. Training vanished completely from my routine, the hours were long and food was always within reach, so a significant amount of weight went on in a fairly short space of time. Building muscle easily has always been my nature — sadly, gaining fat quickly is the other half of that.

Gastric bypass surgery came in 2018 when I was 27, and it completely changed my life. A career switch into real estate came roughly five years ago, along with a return to studying. My weight had stayed under control right up until then.

Then my son was born, an entirely new job had to be learned inside a company that operates at the top level, the hours were long, the pressure and stress were high, nights went sleepless and physical activity disappeared again — slowly, everything started to spiral. That balance was lost, and the weight started coming back.

What I hope to find through this forum is a way back to control and towards a healthier lifestyle, with the right tools as support along the way. Traditional fat burner supplements from the past are my only experience so far, so most of this is new territory. Any advice would be very welcome.

Writing my own success story here is the goal. Thanks in advance for the help, and the best of luck to everyone on their own journey.
