“Beauty Blend” w/ GHK+KPV, tricky reconstitution

I came across a GHk+KPV blend and picked up a few kits. I’ve mixed GHk and KPV on their own many times before without any trouble. Combining the two, though, has turned out to be far more finicky. Does that happen with blends like this?

All of it used Hospira bac water that had already been used for Reta, HGH, and BPC/TB, so the water doesn’t look like the culprit. Temperature seems to be what changes things.

Vial #1: mixed at room temp with bac water straight from the refrigerator. No problems at all. It reconstituted blue and clear, the way GHk normally looks. I used it over 20 days until it was finished, no issues whatsoever.

Then I went to mix vial #2. That vial came from the fridge (cold), and the bac water was also from the fridge, so both were the same temperature. I added the water, left the vial sitting on the counter, and walked away to take care of a few things. When I got back, there was what I’d call a white “sludge” settled at the bottom, while the water was blue from the GhK. I gave it a gentle swirl, but it obviously wasn’t mixing right. I put it in the fridge for a day to see if it would change, and the next day it was the same — everything had settled to the bottom and looked whitish. Then I left it out at room temp for a day. Still no change.

So for vial #3, I took a new vial from the same kit out of the fridge and let it sit on the counter for a full hour to reach room temp. I also took out the same bottle of Hospira bac water and let it warm up for the same amount of time. I added 2ml’s of bac water and voilà…perfect, just blue, no sludge.

Has anyone seen this happen with blends like this, or with GLOW/KLOW? If I were betting, I’d have put my money on the first vial — warm peptide, cold water — being the one to cause trouble. Instead, cold+cold was the problem. Warm+warm was not.

To me, the only explanation that holds up is that the 2nd vial was defective...

Did anyone test that batch at all?...

edited: wait, going back through it, you're saying the vial and the BAC were both cold?...hmmm, that still doesn't strike me as the kind of thing that would cause what you're describing... 😳

I have not personally or independently tested any of it. It came from a well-known domestic reseller and included COA’s…for whatever that’s worth…

Yeah. What confused me is that there was no issue when the pep was warm and the water was cold. No issue when both were warm. But when both were cold = problem. I could understand pH causing trouble, but not temperatures.

I realize some people disapprove, but I’ve used cold water, room temp water, put water into vials straight out of the freezer, and vials from my front porch delivery that were hot in the sun and never had a problem. It just seemed to me that something in the blend might make it more temperamental maybe.
 
A frequently shared piece of advice for copper peptides: bring the BAC and the vial to room temperature prior to combining — if both are cold, you may end up with sludge or a partial dissolve, even if that same BAC worked without issue on GHK or BPC alone. Drip it down the side slowly, then swirl lightly instead of shaking. The fact that your warm/warm vial looks the way it ought to is the giveaway; if it remains sludge once it has been warmed properly, I would consider it a dud.

That’s new to me. Thanks for sharing what you know!
 
Nothing ever gets left out to reach room temp on my end. Reconstituting has gone smoothly for me every time. For roughly 5 months straight, I've been doing ghkcu alongside kpv every day.

With how many folks are on this blend, or klow, it doesn't strike me as something that happens often.
 
Well, I finally figured out what was going on. That vial I believed was fine ended up going bad too — it broke down, and a cloudy white sludge sank to the bottom.

I reached out to the vendor, and it turns out the batch had a known problem. Still, their customer service was excellent and they resolved it, so I'm satisfied. I'll be getting replacement kits.

3 vials came from 2 separate kits, though both kits were placed at the same time (assume same batch). Not a single one was good. I believed one was okay, but after a few days in the fridge it turned cloudy.
