Hey everyone, glad to be here. 40 years old, a dad, and Australian — weight has been a battle for most of my adult life. When the motivation is there I can go all in on training and sport, but food and lifestyle consistency is the piece I've never managed over the years.
116kg was my heaviest, and eventually I reached the point of knowing that serious long term changes were needed, not another short burst diet. Joining this forum was about learning from people living through the same things — GLPs, weight loss, appetite control, motivation, side effects, and the mental side of all of it.
Retatrutide (Reta) alongside MOTS-c is what I'm running, and honestly it's among the first things that has quietened the constant “food noise” in my head. Nothing has been magically solved, but it's helped me put my attention on better habits, more protein, moving more again, and building something sustainable rather than extreme.
Weight loss has given me ups and downs before. Multiple times I've lost weight through hard training and strict dieting, and like plenty of others I'd rebound once life got stressful or motivation fell away. This time the focus is consistency and health instead of perfection.
From everyone here I'm hoping to learn about long term success, training on a GLP, side effect management, holding onto muscle while losing, and simply hearing real experiences from people who understand the journey.
Looking forward to being part of the community and getting to know everyone.
