Anyone on here tried ARA-290 for sciatica, or for nerve pain coming from a bulging disc?

I've got a bulging disc at L5/S1 that's triggering sciatica, and I've been reading up on ARA-290 because of its possible neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory effects.

Right now I'm also on KPV for inflammation, so I'm wondering if anyone has run ARA-290 together with it.

Has anyone given ARA-290 a try for something along these lines? Any change in nerve pain, inflammation, or your symptoms overall? If you did see something, how long before it showed up?

For those it helped, what did your protocol look like? I mean the dosage, how often, and how long the cycle ran?

Would love to hear some firsthand experiences, good or bad!

Have you gone through the earlier threads yet? A number of members on here have tried ARA-290 for sciatica and reported that it helped, at least partially. There's even more anecdotal reporting across the various TG groups.

Typical ARA dosing is 4 mg daily for a minimum of 4 weeks, matching what was used in the phase 2 trials of ARA for other nerve-related conditions. Going higher, such as 8 mg, didn't produce improved outcomes.

There aren't any human trials looking specifically at sciatica, though a rodent model was used in this study:

ARA290, an alternative of erythropoietin, inhibits activation of NLRP3 inflammasome in schwann cells after sciatic nerve injury

In my view, the most important thing when it comes to ARA is picking a vendor whose ARA reconstitutes clear, with no extra buffers needed during recon.

Based on my own limited experience with ARA plus the anecdotal reports, it appears ARA also needs to be continued long-term for maintenance. That makes the 30-mg kits, like those offered through GB groups, possibly the best option in terms of price per mg.

It has been 8 days since I began ara, though my dose is still at 1 mg and I plan to raise it in a few days. So far there has not been any real improvement. Alongside it, I take klow, cartalax, aod, and I have only just begun cjc/ipa.

A recent 28-day course at 4 mg did the job for @FLglpguy:

About 7 days back I put this same post up in a different thread. I'm copying it over to this one as well...

Tomorrow I wrap up my very first 28day run of ARA290! For several years I've dealt with severe sciatica. My recon method is 10mg vials using 1ml of PBS plus .5ml of BAC. Reconstituted this way, the pH comes out at a perfect 7.4 each and every time. It goes crystal clear almost right away. Over those 28days I dosed 4mg DAILY. Anything above that just burns money without adding benefit. Stay at 4mg.

As far as hip pain and lower back pain go, my sciatica has nearly vanished entirely. Mine was the standard kind, tracking my left side from the left buttock, around the hip, down the side of the knee, and continuing all the way to the top of my left foot. It was like a million tiny elves jabbing me with little needles every waking hour of the day! My legs ached and throbbed, and that stabbing kept up through the whole night, robbing me of sleep. It was unbearable!!! I have Naproxen 500mg on hand for when I simply can't take it anymore.

From my hip/lower back right down to my knee, the ARA290 has wiped out practically all of the pain. Some pain still flares in my shin and the top of my foot, but the improvement is drastic. I'll let the 28day cycle clear my system for 30 days, then in all likelihood run another 28day cycle. Having this in my freezer is something I will NEVER give up! More than 3 cycles a year is something I will never do. The protocol is fairly simple....1month on followed by 1month off, capped at no more than 12weeks or 3cycles annually. I'm eager to find out what my 2nd cycle will do. Should it work as well as the 1st cycle did, then after my 2nd cycle I'll be pain free!!!! The best cost vs. return peptide buy I've ever made---$70 per kit is worth every single cent! 16mg vials are stocked by VERY few places. Grab those if you can track them down.

i ran a complete protocol starting at 4mg and then moving up to 8mg... It made no difference for my sciatica

In a different thread, @swimmer has just shared this:

Approximately 1 year ago I ran a cycle of ara-290. I did 1 10mg kit at 4mg per day. After about 2 weeks my sciatica was completely gone. It remained absent till about 2 months ago. It returned very mild and sporadic. Yesterday I finished an other 10mg. Kit and it is completely gone again.
