My thread seems to have been swallowed by yesterday's maintenance, so here it is again. Does anyone have experience with Prolotherapy or Prolozone shots for Trigger points, joint pain, or anything along those lines? Shoulder surgery happened over 9 weeks back, yet the Trigger point work in rehab is handing me daily headaches and migraines plus a fair bit of pain - those same Trigger points caused me nothing until rehab started, and there is still a long road ahead. A number of Trigger point injection rounds are already behind me and it looks like more are on the way shortly, though Cortisone, Anesthetic & Lidocaine are what they consist of. Relief does come, only it fades, and where the Cortisone leaves the soft tissue over time is what bothers me for the months ahead. A couple of days from now I have an appointment with a clinic that does regenerative medicine to talk it over. Skip the PRP for the moment, begin with Prolotherapy (Dextrose) since the cost is lower, and see how it goes - that was my Dr's advice. If anyone has been down the regenerative medicine road, I would love to hear it. The usual peps have been in me for over 8 weeks now to speed healing from the surgery and they are doing their job.
