Alright — I'm taking reta 8mg plus .5mg elora per week, and my weight is dropping. What I've noticed is that I pee a lot at night — at minimum twice, and sometimes even 3 or 4 times — plus usually a big one in the morning.

After that I step on the scale, and there can be a 2lb gap between bedtime and when I wake up.

I'm nearly 60 now, so my bladder doesn't hold the gallons it did back in my 20's — meaning my pees are shorter and lower volume — but still, when you gotta go, you gotta go.

I'm 229 lb and have dropped 40lb over 5 months, and I check my bs often — it sits around typ 5.4-5.8. I was prediabetic before starting reta, but since then my bs and bp have been close to perfect (they weren't far off before I started either).

I don't drink much liquid before bed, either.

My guess is the reta is hitting the liver and making it convert fat into liquid, which is why I'm peeing so much...???

Just wondering whether others are dealing with the same thing.

How many ounces would you estimate you consume each day? In the past, when I made myself drink water, it seemed like I was peeing constantly. These days I pay attention to my water intake but I don't force it.

I saw the thread title and assumed it was a quiz or poll.....I was all set to tick the "standing up" box, unless "standing up like a boss" was one of the choices, because then I woulda had options..... 👍 😎

Whether you're running a cut with Reta or not using any fat burner at all, getting up at night to pee is the same. Try cutting back on fluids 4–5 hours before bedtime; that ought to give you some relief.

Most of the fat and weight you lose leaves your body through your breath as carbon dioxide — about a 5:1 ratio of CO2 to water.

While you sleep, water vapor in your breath adds a meaningful share to that loss too. Moisture and sweat escaping through your skin are additional contributors.
