I thought I'd just throw my two pennies in. I'm on the first week of x3mg Eloralintide..

I was just going to do 1mg, but decided to follow the mono trials and so 3mg is where I'm at for the foreseeable future.

I do have tirz for back up, but I'm trying to give tirz a break for now - as it seems to have stopped working entirely, (and stacking other things with a nonworking tirz, seems to be be going down a rabbit hole that I don't want to explore.)

I'm on week 2 of no tirz, and week 1 of Eloralintide.

So I'll see where this goes, and report in when there's

something of value 🙂

awesome that you are researxhing the Elora, not good the tirz lost its effect. recently told my dr im on 16mg and she freaked out a little bit. she wants me back at 15, put my fingers behind my back and crossed them, told her you betcha! but feeling it less and less now

yah well my dr doesnt know this either, but I am slamming reta. current protocol is 8mg tirz and 8gram reta every 4 days.

I am still.steadily losing weight just a lot slower. also curious about Elora, but not in a hurry to pay over a dollar a mg

Anxiously following. I'm curious about the food noise on Elora, I know Reta doesn't kill the food noise like Tirz so hoping Elora does.

Im only at 4mg for maintenance, so I may still need to titrate up? How long have you been on Tirz that is no longer working for you? I never thought about Tirz becoming ineffective for me. This is me, sitting with my coffee wondering if I will have to max out my dose just on maintenance........

doubt you'll max it in maintenance, if you do move up from such a small dose it will likely be over time in small increments.

I have a powerful eating disorder, and genetic prone ( father and grandfather morbidly obese ) to be very very heavy.

117 pound weight loss in the last year, but that train has slowed down with around 20 more to lose.

if 4 is working for you absolutely stay there. if its not and hasn't been for 2 or more weeks. you might someday take it to 5 and that will prolly be good for a very long time.

117 in a year is fantastic!

Thank you for the words, I was getting a lil worried about getting food noise back. I have no doubt that my weightloss is a direct result of my brain no longer screaming at me that I need those yummy lil Debbie snack cakes.

Reta, for some unknown reason, just doesn't work for me at all. I suspect that its much like the Tirz as well. Both of these simply (and slowly - in the case specifically of Tirz) just faded out from working at all.

So slowly that I tried going ever higher and higher with Tirz, to no effect. So I'm going solo with Eloralintide - oh, and I'm doing a 10u of Sema (as I have a kit to spare)

yep! same same. Thats similar to my personal tests. if i can turn down zippitys delicious, yummy, succulent cakes its working. if i stick my finger in his frosting and gr33dily lick it, eyes rolling into the back of.my head in utter bliss....

time to bump up.

I've been on Tirz since July last year - from 2025 to this year. I started at 322pounds, and am currently 'hovering ' around 219 - (up and down 1-2 pounds)

It slowly dawned on me that Tirz might not be working any more - which could explain the extended plateau's I've been on... hence me trying Eloralintide - and eyeing 'Foundayo' as well as the next plan B if this doesnt work - but I'm not wasting any tirz just yet..

Sorry @MrZardoz got a lil of track....I apologize.

Back to Elora, please keep me posted on the food noise

That's normal, since she's under pressure from anti-Grey propaganda, and the number of overdoses involving official pens was around 18,000 in the U.S. in 2025.

I think she cares about you.

After all, a 7% increase in dose, given that half-lives vary by more than a day (~20%) across the population, is nothing to make a big deal about.

Reta and Tirz have not worked for me from the start. Gave each 10 weeks and nothing. Going to add Cagri to Reta and keep fingers crossed for a reduction in food noise. If not, will do more research on Eloralintide. Keep us posted on your experience with it, please.

I have to wonder what kind of doctor sees a big difference between 15 and 16. They do require doctors to take some math, right? Maybe she's just covering her ass.

Thank you for sharing. I had a similar experience with reta. I went up to 8 mg and stayed on it for six months, but it never worked and actually made things worse. I kept going because of my strong family history of diabetes, dementia, and early death.

I also tried cagri up to 2 mg and still felt nothing, so I’ve stopped everything for now.

I have tirz and elora on the way, but I’m also considering tesofensine. I’d be very interested to hear whether any reta/tirz/cagri non-responders have had better luck with teso, or anything else.

I mean, I get it, especially if they're just a general practitioner and not an obesity specialist - published studies have only confirmed that 15mg is a safe does.

But c'mon man, that whole "I don't want you doing 16mg, you should go back to 15mg" thing should have been accompanied by...

It's a lot easier to just do what you did and go "Okay, sure" but with current trials of higher doses of tirzepatide (sure would be nice if they released those one of those days) and the fact that they approved doses of 7.2mg of semaglutide, ONE milligram over 15 is such a nothing burger.

It's been discouraging, but a bit better after hearing other non-responders' experiences. I've spent quite a lot of $ on product testing thinking I may have gotten junk. Nope, just me and my adversity 😫 I'll definitely look into both Teso and Elora. Hoping you will find the right combo soon 🤞

Lost its effect, or you stopped losing more weight? The two are not synonymous.

If you've stopped losing, that seems more like an equilibrium than a loss of efficacy.

I have some Elora ordered, I'm not sure I have a plan for it unless my current regimen needs adjusting for this last 20-30lb. After I get to maintenance I may experiment with it to adjust my overall dosing.

Yes, that's an important distinction with very different consequences.

It's easy to find out, which one it is:

a) You are gaining weight, maybe at high speed --> it really doesn't work any more.

b) Your weight is stalling --> Your body's mechanisms have caught up with the remedy and it's an equilibrium. The remedy keeps you from gaining at least.

The consequences are very different.

With a): yeah, might really make sense to get rid of it.

With b): Why would you give up the stuff that keeps you from gaining?

Look at the studies on eloralintide:

here scroll down to the picture under "ADJUNCTIVE – BODY WEIGHT CHANGES". This is your situation - a stall with tirz, then here comes elora added (red squares for the highest dose). - boom, weight loss again.

The picture is from rats, but they already did a small phase 2 study with humans, and are just recruiting for/starting a phase 3 study on the same situation. It's called ENLIGHTEN-6.

Eloralintide is great as an add-on, it seems so far.

Kinda same story with me, I leveled off with no more loss on 15mg T, switched to a 10mg T/5mg R blend and seemed to work a little bit. I really wanna go back to 15mg T and add 2mg Elor to see how that would work, maybe start at 12.5/2 or something like that.
