A lot of people here are after advice and other members' experiences about sleep, so it would be good to have those threads gathered together in a single place.

After reading what you wrote about DISP, I found myself in much the same position. You have my support for this thread!

Like many of you, I keep digging through different threads looking for anything about sleep. A separate section for those of us running on too little rest would be a real help. It comes up pretty often, particularly among people new to Reta who are dealing with a higher heart rate.

Honestly, on reta I sleep like a rock. I hit the bed at 1030 last night, got up at 4 to pee, then stayed asleep all the way to 9:00 AM! Reta has me sleeping so hard. HOW??

Maybe it's just good fortune. 😉

Or perhaps the glucagon signal isn't affecting you, which would mean tirz is what you're really getting. 🤣

Whatever the reason, sweet dreams. 🙂

it's only 1.5, yet my sleep has improved compared with before I began taking it.

There are cases where a medication produces a paradoxical reaction, meaning the person responds in the reverse of the expected way.

Still, the key thing is that the weight is trending in the right direction. If a bit of better sleep came along with the weight loss as a bonus, that's even better.

Another thing that can happen involves people who are right at the threshold of weight-related sleep apnea. Occasionally they aren't even aware of it yet, and after losing 10 to 15 pounds they find that their sleep has improved substantially.

That's an interesting thought. Maybe it happened to me too without my realizing it? What I suspect may be going on is that my husband used to snore really badly, and now he doesn't — so perhaps the improvement in my sleep comes from his weight loss. Until now, I hadn't connected the two at all.

That definitely occurred in our house. Within a couple of weeks of my starting reta, my wife's sleep quality improved dramatically. In her words, it was like a switch. Where I used to snore loudly for a couple of hours, now there is complete silence.

One might expect that I would gain even more from this. Not at all. The change in snoring was more than canceled out by reta. And right as things begin to get better, a dose increase comes around.

Isn't it funny and interesting how each person responds just a little differently?

Now I can't stop picturing the soup guy from Seinfeld staring at you and declaring...

This thread shows how much everyone here wants to talk about sleep.

A simple post suggesting a thread has grown into an active conversation.

Please give us a space where all of these anecdotes can be gathered together

For my own routine, I take magnesium bisglycinate, gaba, melatonin and zinc picolinate, and I do notice a difference. That said, melatonin and gaba aren't things I'm keen on using, so I try to avoid taking them nightly.

On the peptide side, cjc/ipa seem to be helping as well, though I haven't been consistent lately, so I'll hold off on reporting back until I am.

My sleep has gone bad again, though it had been fine for a long stretch, which feels odd. I figure inflammation is behind it, and I'm waiting for my KLOW to arrive. 135 days in a row at the gym is probably playing a part too lol.

I'd really like that... Sleep has been a battle for me for a long time.

I've been looking into peptides for it, and a dedicated space where we could all share would be fantastic.

Whether it's peptide-related or not.

Reta doesn't agree with my sleep, though I've discovered Tirz leaves that side of things alone. Apparently that's not uncommon.

Here's to the sleep forum!

Personally, I think this is a really good suggestion.

My sleep is fine on some nights and pretty bad on others. Having one thread that focuses only on sleep problems and possible fixes could be genuinely useful.
