Hey all,
Time to stop reading over shoulders and actually say hello. I've been quietly following along for some months, and the tone here struck me as both warm and well-informed, so here I am.
My own path has been an odd one. When 2020 rolled around I caught COVID hard, and it left me with pericarditis plus myocarditis. What came after was stranger still: the pounds piled on fast with no explanation, and my bloodwork tipped into prediabetes. Nothing in my habits pointed that way — I barely touch alcohol, sweets were never my thing, and I ate cleanly — yet several doctors clearly couldn't square it. More than one asked me, half-joking, whether I was sneaking cake after dark. I genuinely wasn't.
Ozempic came next, and it turned the picture around; I shed something like 30kg. With hindsight, I rode the GLP-1s for longer than was wise. One thing I badly want to understand better is how to come off them in a structured, deliberate way.
Somewhere around summer 2025 the effects of both Mounjaro and Ozempic wore off on me. These days Retatrutide is doing the heavy lifting, alongside disciplined eating and a steady training habit. I've also begun poking at peptides beyond that space — ipamorelin, CJC no DAC and MOTS-C — and I find the whole area compelling.
Learning is the whole point of my being here. My aim is modest to state and hard to do: get body and mind into the best shape I can, using peptides, exercise and food together. Meeting others walking the same road would be a bonus.
Genuinely glad to have landed here, and I'm keen for whatever conversations follow.
