Hey everyone, T here. I'm a 30-year-old husband and dad to 2 boys, and I joined because I'm determined to get healthier and pick up knowledge about peptides.

My insurance turned down a script since I don't have type 2 diabetes, same as a lot of people here. The part that stung the most is that aside from not being diabetic, glp-1 would fit me really well. I stand 6'5, weigh 485lb, my bmi is 52%, and my weight has brought on sleep apnea and blood pressure problems. Truthfully, this is the last bit of hope I've got.

I've pulled off 2 massive weight losses, and each time I neared my goal weight, I felt like I was starving no matter what I ate. The first one was 120lbs in a year and a half, just walking 1-2 hours a day (during Covid). The second one followed roughly the same approach, but since I worked for package delivery at Amazon it was part of my daily job, and I dropped 90lbs over a year there. So losing weight is something I know how to do, keeping it off is the problem.

Beyond that, I'm a pretty relaxed guy. I'm into anime and video games, sports, marvel comics/movies, music, and art. Can't wait to talk with all of you!

Welcome T, a good portion of what you shared feels familiar to me. I am in the same boat as a newcomer, and there is plenty to pick up. Do your homework and take it easy before starting anything.

I'm definitely going to pace myself. Every other time I lost weight I went too fast, and each time I wound up right back where I started

I've been through the same cycle. For roughly the past 6 years, each winter and spring I've dropped 35-45 lbs in a very aggressive manner. The weight comes off impressively, but with every cut I end up losing muscle too. Once those 2 months are up and I return to my old routine, the pounds come right back and I'm starting over from zero. That pattern is genuinely bad for my health, and it's something I want to break, so I'm going for a lifestyle change instead.

In my view, breaking free from poor habits is the toughest part. My weight has swung back and forth from 185 to 270 lbs. What has truly rescued me is a mix of nutrition, working out, and tirz. I sat down and made a list of every food I enjoy and love cooking with. Then I asked ChatGPT to build healthy meals from those ingredients. It worked for me! I allow myself a few days for eating out, but I try to meal prep the majority of my meals. I'm confident you'll discover a healthy balance that helps you reach your goals. Keep coming back to the forums, there's plenty of excellent information to be found here!

Hi and welcome. I've been through the same up-and-down cycle myself. At 61, dropping 40 lbs is doable when I need to, but the constant food thoughts were unbearable, and I'd always slide back into old habits. I began Reta roughly 6 weeks ago. Those food thoughts have vanished. My weight went from 308 to 284 as of this morning. My energy has climbed and I'm working out again. My diabetes is stable without medication and my blood pressure is back to normal.

There's a ton of helpful material here, but take it slow. Best of luck.
