30-31g 8mm (5/16") Luer Lock or Luer Slip Needles only

Have you tried them yourself? I wasn't sure whether the brand makes much difference when it comes to needles, and the product page doesn't list any particular brand name. All I can spot is Shaotong in the pictures. That brand seems to show up all over Amazon.

If they work well enough, having them on hand for TRT would be handy, since I've got plenty of 21-25g I can draw with and then switch over to a new 30g for the SubQ.
I scrapped that plan. For reconstitution, my 23-25G supply is more than enough. My 31g ET and BD's will remain my go-to. By this point I've adapted to them. @woundcarping, does warming make drawing easier for you?

Test vials, sure—warming those helps with drawing. Peptides, no.

I've got hundreds of barrels and needles that work fine for drawing. Easy Touch 29-30g needles run about $8-9. The fact that I have no 29-30g needles at all isn't a coincidence (though swapping needles each time wouldn't bother me much).

My go-to is 1/2" 29g .5ml insulin syringes, and I have hundreds of those too. I picked 29g since it draws noticeably faster than 30g. While I'm brushing my teeth, doing other injections, or whatever else, I let the test vial sit in a small container of warm water.

When it comes to peptides, my usual choice is 30g with a length of 5/16-1/2".

Interesting — I wouldn't have expected a change from 30 down to 29 to affect draw time all that much. That's useful to know.

I've got a few hundred 30g 5/16 insulin syringes that I picked up for GLP use. The TRT clinic provided me with a pile of barrels plus a pile of 21 and 25 1" needles to pair with them. My thinking was that I could draw with those, then switch to a 29-30 for injecting, so the clinic's stock wouldn't go unused.

A 29g needle gives you 20-35% greater cross-sectional area and flow compared to 30g... that slight bump in radius gets squared.

For me it's the same, except I use 31g at 5/16". Those are working well for me at this point. The trick is to aim for the middle of the vial and pull slowly.

For water based, 31g turned out to be a touch slower than I wanted, so I go with 30g when doing peps and 29g when doing oils.

At times, rubber stoppers can be so hard that needles above 30g end up getting dulled. I used to think that wasn't real, but after doing some stabby stabby both before and after, the difference is massive.

These days I've settled on this... Plus, as a bonus... It can go in the dishwasher!

I own a few of those; they were included with some Cajun injector supplies meant for poultry.

I decided against that. The 31g work well. Drawing and pinning is no issue for me. Neither my wife nor I felt the needle at all. I have 400 1ml and .05 syringes, 31g 8mm.
I bought 200 Nipro 1ml luer slip syringes that came with 27g ½” needles. Pulling liquid goes a lot quicker. When it’s time to inject, I switch over to a 30g ½” Easy Touch, and that doesn’t hurt because the tip is brand new and the first thing it contacts is your skin.

What’s not so great: there’s extra dead space, and changing the needle means an additional step. So I’ve ended up going back to a 31g Easy Touch insulin syringe as my preference.

I worked out a way to make shots with the insulin syringe completely free of pain. Right before you inject, touch the needle gently to your skin. Should it feel like a sting is coming, shift it 2-3 mm sideways. Typically after 1 or 2 tiny moves you land on a spot with no pain at all. The reason it works is that this slight shift keeps you from landing on a nerve/pain receptor.
I'm adding a +1 here since I overlooked this the first time.

With Luer Lock, the dead space I've measured comes to 0.05mL. That's a fair amount — you have to factor it in when pulling the initial dose prior to changing needles, and getting it back after injecting isn't really feasible due to contamination.

Maybe there's a step I'm not seeing, but to me Luer Locks appear to carry unavoidable loss. Probably common knowledge that I'm only now picking up. Still, backfilling 30g insulin syringes is what I'll stay with. That's my preferred alternative method so far.

@BNLFL so did a decent choice ever come your way? Same problem keeps showing up for me while I search. All I keep coming across are luer slip needles that are dull and poor quality. What I'm after is something to use whenever a vial runs out, letting me move off a 1.5 inch drawing needle that's super dull onto a nicer one for the injection, instead of backfilling and burning a full insulin syringe. Ideally what I want is a 29-31g 4mm needle tip. And if some good ones turned up, I'd possibly swap them in for a sharper poke after pulling multiple peps into one syringe for nightly klow pins, where I draw from separate vials but only inject once. Often my easy touch goes dull after it's been through 4 rubber stoppers before even reaching my skin. My pain tolerance is high, but I'm not a masochist either lol.

For skin boosters, I purchase 4mm needles from a medical supply source. The same supplier also carries 6mm options and 32g 8mm BD insulin syringes.

In this thread, a link was shared by someone for Easy Touch luer lock needles, and it included 31g short needles, possibly 4mm as well. I gave up on it, since I already have 4 boxes of East Touch and BD 31g 8mm in .5 and 1ml. I mix 2 vials roughly a week ahead of doing the shots, so what's the point.

Great, I appreciate the heads-up! That screenshot slipped past me. I've located them now!
