Hi everyone, my name is Gonçalo, I'm 23, and I currently reside in the Netherlands. I'm trying to decide whether to begin with reta or tirze. I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences.

I began taking reta 3 months back, and over that stretch I've lost 15 lbs. Cutting out food has been really simple, but the bigger thing is that you have to track your macros. If you don't meet your daily protein targets and train, you'll end up looking melted. Your skin will droop and you'll resemble a wet rag. My suggestion: shed the weight properly, gradually, with plenty of protein and exercise. Not cardio — weight lifting is what you need. A bit of cardio is fine, but strength training and protein should be your main focus. Also, begin at a very low dose and raise it slowly after a few weeks. I kicked off with .5 MG retatrutide, then went to 1mg, and ended at 2mg.

I began using RETA roughly 8 months back, using it inconsistently at first. Eventually I committed fully and added TESA plus KLOW to the mix. That has me at 62lbs lost, and I feel fantastic! RETA works great for me, though I won't criticize or speak badly of any other GLPs — pick whatever suits you!

Hey, what a great change, congrats, can't wait to try reta.

If I could rewind and pick my first step again, Reta would have been my choice.

My run with Tirz went all the way up to 12mg. Plenty of pounds came off, and honestly it felt fantastic — yet curiosity about Reta eventually got the better of me.

Here's the catch: my Reta supply was tiny, and after being on such a high Tirz dose I was carrying a hefty load of GLP-Resistance. A mere 2mg of Reta on its own would have done next to nothing.

So I ran Tirz at a reduced dose alongside Reta, and believe me — even with Reta at a very small dose, what happened was wild. Each morning I looked a touch leaner. No stalls at any point. The fat practically dripped away. That is at minimum MY own story.

Which means kicking things off with Reta right from the get-go lets its appetite-curbing effect hit hard immediately, no need to stack, and you also get glucagon receptor agonism helping strip the fat (keeping the dose-response curve in mind, naturally).

Not a shred of doubt in me that beginning with Reta would have meant shedding even more weight, but oh welp, I'm the leanest I've ever been, and cutting is effortless, so I can't grumble TOO much.

Best of luck on your journey mate!

Hi Juggy, thanks for telling me about your experience — keeping protein up is definitely key, and that way you also avoid shedding too much muscle. Next week I'm kicking off my own journey, so thank you and best of luck with yours!

Heyyy, those results are genuinely wild — congrats, and thanks for letting me in on how it went. My own start date is next week, and I'll drop updates in here as things move along.

Thanks again, and enjoy yours too.

Hi , good to have you on the forum !!!

I am on both. Tirz does a great job on appetite control

while Reta handles the Glucagon side.

When it comes to appetite suppression, tirz beats reta. Reta, though, does a better job at cutting visceral fat.

I ran reta on its own, and the hunger-curbing effect never matched what tirz gave me solo. At 12mg of reta, it still underperformed 7.5mg of tirz.

These days I use both. My bloodwork gets checked on a regular schedule, and my tirz/reta stack is modest - right now that's 5mg tirz plus 2mg reta - keep in mind I've been using GLP-1s since 2022, so my body is accustomed to them.

Since this is your first time, begin with tirz and find out how it suits you - begin at a low dose. Make sure baseline blood tests are done before you start a GLP-1, then repeat them after 3 months. Far too many people push the dose of tirz or reta up too fast and land in hospital with pancreatitis. A bigger dose isn't a better one, and plenty of people - me included - have seen great results from a lower dose.

Good luck with your peptide journey!
