Test, Growth and Reta together have been giving me solid results. I’ve also been tracking macros and calories much more carefully. Exercise is still the hard part — I can’t seem to carve out the time. That said, watching the scale move makes me want to push exercise higher on my list.

My first attempt with Reta went badly. I felt nothing, so I bumped the dose up too fast, got hit with side effects, and ended up quitting completely. I’ve been back on it for six weeks now.

So the lesson here: this is a marathon, not a sprint.

Nicely put, and best of luck as you keep going!

That's awesome news!

Would you be willing to walk me through both the routine that didn't pan out and the one that did?

My initial attempt involved bumping the dosage weekly, beginning at 2mg and finishing at 7.5mg. The outcome was severe acid reflux, an alarmingly elevated heart rate, and inability to sleep.

In this attempt, I stayed at 2mg per week for a total of 4 weeks. Then I gave 4mg a shot during week 5. That week I had one night of insomnia. It might have been psychological tension from an unrelated matter. I chose to go with 3mg for week 6. And I repeated 3mg this week as well.

I still get no sensation from Reta. So it's tough to determine whether the results come from that or whether all elements are playing a part. But I'm happy with the way things are progressing.

Growth has been excellent for my sleep. Which I'm guessing has been the largest contributor to the weight loss. Though it's hard to be certain.

If similar side effects come up later on, Famotidine (OTC) can be useful. n=1
