Hi everyone! I just received an Endometriosis diagnosis, and after going through a huge amount of material here plus reddit, youtube, etc... it hit me that KPV and Reta could be what helps me live without pain. Food noise has always been something I struggle with, and I had a bed. Eating intuitively let me drop some weight, though I gained part of it back. I can't wait to read more about your journeys! Tomorrow I start reta, and I couldn't be more excited. The more I learn about this, the more convinced I am that this is IT!!!

Hey! Should reta not deliver the food noise relief you're after, tirz could be worth a shot — it carries the stronger reputation on that front. Plenty of people with BED have done well on it. Wishing you the best ~

Hi! If you don't get the food noise relief you want from reta, you may wanna try tirz, it has the better rep on that dimension. Lots of success for people with BED. Best of luck ~

I really appreciate the suggestion!! One thing I’m wondering about, though. Since I spend a lot of time at the gym, I’ve come across claims that reta is less muscle-wasting than tirz. Does that hold up?? Losing my gains is a big worry for me!!

Thank you so much for the rec!! I do have a question. I am a gym person and I heard reta doesn’t make you lose as much muscle as tirz. Is that true?? I’m scared of losing progress!!

Glad you're here! That claim has crossed my path too, though for someone who lifts regularly it's not something I'd stress over. Any cut—glp or not—costs you a bit of lean tissue, and if you're already putting in the training and fueling yourself properly, you'll keep that loss small regardless. As a data point: I began Tirz on 8/26, and since then I'm down roughly 7 lbs while my arms, shoulders, and legs have visibly put on size.

Eat clen, tren hard 💪

On a real note, stay away from tren. That stuff is no joke.

Welcome! I've also heard people say this, but if you're a gym person I wouldn't worry. You'll lose some lean mass on any cut with or without glp and if you're training already and eating adequately you'll minimize muscle loss either way. Fwiw I started Tirz 8/26 and in that time I've lost about 7 lbs and have noticeably increased mass in my arms, shoulders, and legs.

Eat clen, tren hard 💪

But seriously don't actually do tren. Tren is serious shit.

That's reassuring to hear!! Thanks for sharing that. Today I took my very first dose, which was 0.5. Looking forward to finding out where this journey leads! 🙂 and definitely, no tren 😂

Whether research backs that up or it's just anecdotes, I can't say. Keeping up with workouts and getting enough protein is the standard advice, so you're doing fine and likely shouldn't stress about it : )

When you're dropping pounds, some muscle loss is expected.

I'm not sure if that's been studied or you're hearing anecdata. Staying in the gym and eating adequate protein is what's recommended so you're already on the right track and probably don't need to sweat it : )

Some muscle loss is normal if you're losing weight.

Actually, it's a mix of the two! The reason tirz tends to cause greater muscle loss comes down to it suppressing appetite more strongly than reta does—so when weight comes off quickly, you end up losing more muscle mass. This mirrors what happens with fast weight loss even without any peps involved.

Glad you've joined us here.

When Tirz and Reta are used, there's a built-in chance of losing lean muscle along with fat. That said, based on what I've seen, hitting your protein target (for me, 0.8g for every pound I weigh each day) and sticking with your training plan makes muscle loss less likely, so the weight you drop tends to be fat.

As @AngieHolmes mentioned, Tirz is well known for quieting food noise. Since Reta combines GLP, GIP, and Glucagon, I've discovered that layering in Tirz with a split dose helps quite a bit, because you can adjust the food noise side separately through Tirz (which is GLP and GIP only). The Glucagon part is great for speeding up BMR, but a number of people I've assisted end up feeling hungry, and that's when we look at whether to add Tirz.

Wishing you the best on your journey!! 💪💪

This is my first time hearing that these could be beneficial for endo—being a man, I suppose it just never came onto my radar. It's incredible how many various conditions peptides are able to assist with. What a new era we're living in. I hope it works for you in the way you need!

From my own experience, I'm acquainted with 2 women who primarily adopted a ketogenic diet and currently experience no issues with this. It could be worth exploring.

Thank you so much!! That really helps. The food noise aspect has had me especially curious, since the experiences people report with Reta vary so widely. As for me, so far, I've been taking a very low dose for a week, and I'm down 4 pounds!! 😱 (0.5mg)

Keeping protein high and sticking with strength training are definitely things I'm focusing on as well. Holding onto muscle while the fat comes off is a big priority for me!!
