I’m hoping to hear how Tirz has worked for others who also have insulin resistance PCOS. It’s only been a month since I began Tirz, and so far nothing at all has changed for me. My dose is being increased, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that some kind of results show up over the next few weeks.

I’d really appreciate hearing what your experiences have been!

Hey everyone. My PCOS is really severe.

Eventually I made the choice to begin Zepbound with a doctor who focuses on weight loss. My journey kicked off in October 2024, but it sadly came to a halt in July 2025 because of insurance problems. Still, during those months on Zepbound, I dropped more than 30 lbs.

Every PCOS symptom either got better or disappeared entirely.

I began at only 2.5mg and the results showed up right away. A big part of why things went so well for me was staying strict with fasting before I ever touched any medication, plus taking loads of supplements, which made the Zepbound work like it was on turbo drive.

If my insurance hadn't kneecapped me, I'd have hit my goal last year.

After my insurance dropped Zepbound, I had no choice but to move to Wegovy in July 2025. Since then, I've only managed to lose a measly 10-12 lbs.

But today, I made the decision to give Reta a try, and I'll begin that journey next week. I've still got an easy 18 lbs left to lose.

my wife was dealing with all of those things. she only had roughly 2 periods each year, plus elevated testosterone and insulin resistance. before i discovered the grey, she started a compounded tirz. she stayed on it around 6 months, and while she dropped roughly 20 lbs, the bigger win was that her cycle became regular again and her insulin resistance improved enough that she was able to come off metformin...

she had to quit taking it about... well, a bit more than 9 months back.. we're expecting our first child next week, so we didn't take any chances and she stopped using it. but she's already told me she plans to restart once nursing and everything else is finished.

I have PCOS along with insulin resistance. Since late January I've been taking tirz at a low dose. Besides losing weight, I've seen my symptoms improve, my cycle become less irregular, and my fatigue get better. The hirsutism seems improved too, though I suspect that part might just be placebo.

When you say you haven't noticed a difference, what exactly are you watching for? To me, 4 weeks seems like a very short window. Even 12 weeks still feels like an early point in my own experience, and I'm anticipating further changes across the next 6-9 months.

My advice would be to stick with it longer before giving up on it. That said, you should absolutely bring up your concerns with your provider.
