I'm eager to get the hang of this GB situation. Perhaps I'm just not picking it up quickly, but even after searching extensively, I still haven't managed to locate these communities.
You will make it eventually.

Group buy?
Group Buy.
Yeah, that sounds nice, but handing my cash over to others isn't something I'm comfortable with lol — unless it's some random person in China on the far side of the planet, a total stranger, who I ship a decent chunk of crypto to.
So the way it works is you send funds to whoever is running the group buy, and crypto isn't required every time. Honestly, despite everything I've accumulated, crypto has never been part of my process. A lot of these GBs operate out of the US. The ones I've stuck with have been established for a while, run these regularly, and source from well-known suppliers. Your cash will be tied up anywhere from 6 weeks up to 3 months. That's exactly why it's not a situation where you need it immediately or can just grab it off Amazon. On certain ones, the price gap is absolutely insane.

I don't, but I prefer a risky lifestyle and living on the edge. For me, paying for testing isn't financially justified. Lots of others do send theirs in for testing. A vendor has every reason to make sure what they sell is good quality and won't cause anyone to get sick.

Vendors are aware that customers test their products, and 1 failed test could destroy their business. Then again, if that occurred they'd likely just rebrand under a different name. Should people become seriously ill or die, US regulators and customs would crack down hard, and that would hurt everyone.
That assumption doesn't hold up. A lot of vendors with big names have had post-purchase testing turn up bad results, and they just drown it out with shills until people stop talking about it. It isn't only under-fills either. Vials with hair and bugs in them, vials holding the wrong substances, failed sterility, far too much of the substance listed on the label, endotoxins — all of that has happened, and in time it gets forgotten.

If what you're assuming were true, every post-purchase testing group would be reporting great results nonstop. That isn't what happens — they keep finding bad batches.
