Signed up because my GLP-1 progress has stalled out. I'm a man in my 50s; back in early '24 I weighed 315lbs and dropped 35lb across 9 months of semaglutide before sitting still for 3 months. So I moved over to MJ and washed out for a month, which put about 8lbs back on. 11 months of MJ (worked up to 15mg a week) took off a further 29lbs, so the total stands at 56lbs gone — 17.7% of my bodyweight. That's decent, and I train with weights 2x a week plus ride up to 50km weekly; all the same, the last 3 months have been flat, my drinking has slowly increased for assorted reasons, and a few lbs have actually come back. Appetite suppression has dropped off a lot lately, yet coming off worries me because of how it went when I stopped sema. Another 50lbs is what I'd like to shift.
Standing still costs me plenty, so at minimum I want tirzepatide cheaper, and I'm weighing a bridge into retatrutide rather than a full washout. I've read the posts arguing that GLP and GIP effects won't add much while someone is plateaued on tirzepatide, but I'm keen to find out what the glucagon side feels like.
Stacking cagrilintide also appeals if hunger keeps being a problem.
That's the picture. Mainly here to learn. Happy to take advice.
