SS-31 - Scientific Review - Snake Oil or Energy Elixir?

For people who are otherwise healthy, the data supporting SS-31 as a way to produce improvements is weak at best, and may even point the other way. Every one of us who self-experiments runs into the same two obstacles: placebo effects and cognitive dissonance. Once money has been spent, there is a natural pull to find some benefit. If I am honest, I am as guilty of that as anyone reading this.

After many years working in science, one lesson stands out: improvement is impossible when there is no way to measure the thing.

For the GH secretagogues I use (Tesa+Ipa AM, CJC-1295 nodac+Ipa PM), IGF-1 is something I can actually measure. That is the one marker that is simple to track.

Sleep tracking is available to essentially all of us, yet hardly anyone assembles those numbers into a statistical analysis.

With Reta + Tirz I have the scale, and a couple of times per year I wear a CGM for 2 weeks. Those give solid data.

“Energy,” though, tends to be judged by things like “how I feel” or “my workout was great,” and for judging efficacy that is likely worse than useless.

Ugh... I dropped 3 kits at 10mg/vial and got zero out of it....
I wouldn't be so certain. You have plenty on hand, so try a larger dose and observe the results. Don't let us spoil it for you before you've given it a shot. At minimum it should give your MotsC a boost, and that does have an effect.

There are folks, I suspect, who jump into these protocols, don't feel anything right away, and conclude the compound is useless.

Based on the limited digging I've done (and I might be completely wrong), the dosing seems to call for 180 - 360 mg of SS-31 plus 180-360 mg MOTS-C taken on days that alternate, and it helps if you add NAD+ at roughly 100 mg, 2-3 days per week.

On top of that, you likely won't notice anything unless you're 40+. Or possibly 30+ with a history of hard living involving booze or stims.
Whoa, anaphylactic shock upon you

I'm not yet thirty, but I used meth for a number of years. We'll see how it goes, lol

Damn, by pointing out which group of people benefits from this, you've got me thinking about trying that stack.
I was fortunate enough to get a 50mg kit for $180, although it won't arrive for another month or two. But yeah, that's the unfortunate reality of looking after your health. The more money you have, the simpler it is.
Let me clarify: that's 180-360 mg across 12 weeks, meaning 5-10 mg each time. There's no chance I'd spend hundreds of dollars on a single dose, haha.

That's precisely how my own thinking goes as well. And honestly, there are times when the placebo hits harder simply because you paid a bigger price for it 🙂 If someone personally finds that 'it works for me' makes the cost worth it, then good for them.

By itself, I've gotten zero benefit from this one. When Mots is used alone, there's clearly a positive effect. Combining this WITH Mots and putting it into my pre-workout stack has been transformational. During workouts, it feels like there's no end in sight and no fatigue at all.
