Both the forum and the idea of GLP1s are new to me. Super overweight was never really the case, but a high body fat percentage was, because a bad diet paired with a new job that was very low activity at a desk really took a toll. Maybe 60g of protein a day was the intake.
Then my wife got pregnant and I decided my stuff needed to be gotten together, so working out started. Not knowing what the heck I was doing, the aim was losing weight in a deficit while gaining muscle. 20lbs came off but a plateau hit, and my maintnence calories turned out to be around 2200-2500. As a 38 6'4 235ish lb male that was crazy low, and the thought of cutting another 300 calories from my diet worried me, so bulking as much as I could became the plan. 20ish lbs came back, and cutting got tried again.
Cutting is insanely hard for me. Fat just doesn't seem to come off consistently and the food noise is EXTREMELY bad, which I never even realized until reading about how these can stop it. Just NOT thinking about food would be lovely.
So my wife and I have both toyed with the idea of GLP1s, but research was needed to weigh options.
Learning everything I can is something I look forward to.
