I'm wrapping up week 2 of Semax (subq). The first week I used .5mg, then increased to 1mg for week 2. That turned out to be a mistake. After my 1mg injection yesterday morning, I felt like I'd taken one of those intense preworkouts loaded with caffeine. Sort of a brain fvck. So today I dropped back to 750mg and things are much better. Anyway, that's what this thread is about. This compound hits me differently than it's supposed to. The only thing I notice with Semax is more energy throughout the day. At the gym I also feel somewhat invincible...I can train harder, faster, etc, and don't feel any fatigue. I don't see any improvement in focus, cognitive abilities, or memmory etc. I'd even say I've been a bit more distracted lately...overall it's tough for me to tell if I'm pleased with Semax or not. On one hand, having more energy during the day is nice, and not feeling wiped out after work, when the gym isn't a drag but just another simple part of the day. But I was hoping to get something different from it. I'll run it for a 4 week cycle, so things could change, but so far my feelings are mixed.
So, in your experience, did it produce a short-lived ADHD-like state—one where your ability to concentrate dropped, yet you ended up feeling hyperactive and full of energy?
ADHD might be putting it too strongly. Following yesterday's 1mg injection, I felt genuinely high. As I mentioned, it was comparable to a very potent pre workout, or a large dose of caffeine. The effect came on right away after the shot and persisted for a few minutes. For the remainder of the day, I simply had more energy. I never got tired. All day I was eager to wrap up work so I could get to the gym. Once I was at the gym, I was flying. Aside from that, I forgot to mention in my first post that my mood right now seems better. I feel more relaxed and less stressed. I'm also wrapping up a 20 days Epitalon cycle today, though I doubt it plays any role. Honestly, I don't notice anything particular from Epi. So the Semax effect is clear, but it comes across as rather puzzling from my perspective.
For my second round of Semax, at least, what I've gone through lines up almost exactly with your description. Consider me won over.
My starting point was 500mcg subq each morning. These days I'm at 1mg.
My initial cycle didn't deliver much. This time around, though, I switched vendors, and the gap between the two is enormous.
What specifically sets them apart for you, then? Also, just so you know, 1mg feels like too much in my case — 750mg has been the sweet spot up to now.
Are you asking about the difference between the 2 batches? The 1st cycle. I felt somewhat more awake and alert, but it only lasted for short stretches around mid-morning, and beyond that, not a whole lot. If I hadn't already bought a kit, I wouldn't have done a 2nd cycle, but I decided to try it again. There was nothing to lose.
The 2nd cycle, using a new batch, was almost exactly like what you described. It didn't hit right away, though — it came on more gradually. Even so, it carried me through the entire day. I felt extremely productive, and things I'd been delaying for months are finally finished. I feel a lot less stressed at work (the productivity likely plays a part). I'm able to concentrate on what I need to do.
I've been thinking about lowering the dose on weekends or on days when I just want to take it easy, because today I finished all my housework and tasks and wanted to unwind, but I felt like I simply had to keep moving haha, a bit wired.
