I picked up one of those small skincare fridges for keeping my Reta vials — both the ones I've already mixed and the ones still in powder form. After I got a temperature sensor, though, it seems like the unit isn't cooling as much as I'd like. It's sitting at a constant 54.3F, which is 12.4C. The vial does feel chilly when I touch it, but I'm unsure whether that's sufficient if I'm thinking medium to long term.
Online, people seem to disagree about what counts as a 'safe' storage temperature, and once you separate reconstituted Reta from the non-reconstituted kind, the suggested ranges get even wider. I'm just wondering what everyone here thinks!
Because I live with roommates and have visitors who poke around, I'd rather not put it in the shared fridge. That said, if there's truly no other option, I'll deal with it.
