Peptide filtering

Everyone keeps bringing this up, and I'll probably end up grabbing 2 more... my head just prefers nice even numbers.
You're a lost cause, same as me!

It's tough to make a case against filtration, and the same goes for opting for high-grade BAC.
Up to now I haven't run anything through a filter, though I'm considering doing it when I crack open the next batch. When it comes to the leftover in the filter, do you push air through it, rinse it with BAC, or just say forget it?

Both approaches have been tried by me, and while this could change, right now air is what I favor.

Suppose the 13mm holdback equals .15ml and my concentration is 30mg/ml — that works out to 4.5mg trapped in the filter, which at current pricing is $1.02 worth of Reta.

Here's another approach:

With 60mg Reta, hitting 30mg/ml means my total BAC comes to 2ml. Reconstitute first with 1 ml, run that through the filter, then use the remaining BAC plus the ~.15ml to rinse the original vial. Whatever peptide ends up in that rinse is negligible, so no purging needed.

The higher the mg per vial or the pricier the peptide, the more this matters — think 120mg Tirz, 140mg Reta, or Cag/Tesa (which run 4-6x what Reta costs per mg).

A needle costs just $.09, a barrel just $.15, and a filter roughly $.51. The rinse method consumes one filter, two barrels, and four needles (vent, filter, recon, rinse). Supplies total a mere $1.17.
Have you gotten in on that WW 140mg? It's still available. I keep being drawn to it, since it appears in my "order sorter as open.
WW?

😂 another 2 and I'll hit a neat 10-kit total, 14 grams of Reta😂
At 5 mg per week, this supply lasts me 9 years. Actuarial tables say that's 50% of the life I have left. Bucket list: done.

Turning 40 next month, and I still need another decade to reach the upper end of what AI projected from my accumulated data, at the max trial doses for each peptide... looks like we're both equally hopeless 🤣

Right, that clears it up. Fingers crossed I earn my wings ahead of the 25th 🤞

Yep, it stays open through the 25th. So far I've paid for 8 kits, though 10 would be a nicer round number. 🤣
That should last us for some time. I've been going back and forth on this for a while. I'm going to go for it. It sits just below the 2 I recently ordered. If you'd like, send me a message and I'll share the supplier. I only glanced and noticed a name, but I'm not 100% certain who it is.

Now I can see it when sorting orders.

I'm lost here.

First you located it, then requested the supplier, checked and spotted it, and now you're seeing it again. 🤣
I wanted to know who the supplier was, but then I spotted it on the order form. Brain fade once more. I'm old.

I watched that clip where an R140 was being reconstituted, and dissolving the puck took 9 minutes. I might end up grabbing it, simply because I probably wouldn't be able to forgive myself for passing. Even so, an R50 kit lasted us 8 months with 2 people using it—yet I'd still want to be set for the peptocalypse.
I'm with you—there's no way I'm letting this one slip by. I've been going back and forth on it for ages. An R140? Wow. We just wrapped 6 weeks using two R40 vials, and by the numbers there's 1 left, though it really seems like we'll need 2 more.
A kit is now on its way from me. <sigh> Either way, it seems I can't stand myself! 🤣
It's absolutely awful, no it isn't.

At 12mg per week, my wife and I were stretching it to 5.5 years, now, yikes. I figure I've got 9 left without trouble.

This WW r140 gb looks suspiciously low-cost. I won't accept that 5ml vials would have been priced out of reach. Even once moved into a larger vial, I'm worried about how well it dissolves, so I'll hold off until a kit at a saner price appears. According to Lilly, solubility sits near 25mg/ml, which is meant to prevent problems with lipid aggregation.
