Another person from Ohio checking in. 4mg as a starting dose? To me that seems like a lot. My own start was 2mg back in March. Roughly 3ish weeks passed before the full effects kicked in for me.Sosa1980 said:
I've now been on Reta for 3 weeks and I'm Still Hungry — like really hungry. No weight has come off yet. My starting dose was 4mg since I was transitioning off a different GLP. I'd just like some guidance on how to really get this thing to work.
No need to increase your dose right now. For 4 weeks I’ve been taking 1mg every 4 days, and the effects are still noticeable. Even so, I realize an increase is probably coming before long. That’s exactly why I signed up here!Sosa1980 said:

Reta has been part of my routine for 3 weeks now, and I'm still dealing with serious hunger—like, really intense. No weight has come off so far. My starting dose was 4mg since I was transitioning from another GLP. I could use some guidance on how to actually get this working.
Here I am in week 3 of Reta, fluctuating by 5lbs, and my starting dose was 4mg per week. Should I bump it up just a bit, or stick with what I'm doing? Any input would be appreciated—share your thoughts. I'm also curious about possible stacking options.

Only after spending 6 weeks at 2mg did I move up to 4mg. Back in March I weighed 351lbs, and right now I'm at 301lbs.
At the moment I split my dosing into 3mg on Monday and Thursday. For me, dividing the dose this way works better and keeps my appetite from spiking ahead of the next dose.
This isn't a miracle that happens overnight. Changing your diet is necessary, and physical activity helps quite a bit too.
Don’t give up, man. I hit a plateau near 315lbs for about 2 weeks and it was driving me nuts, so I get exactly what you’re going through.Sosa1980 said:

100 percent with you on that. I'm managing at least 10,000 4 days each week, though lifting hasn't begun for me yet. My diet is improving too, but I still need to work harder there. Thanks for the support.
What kind of working out are you doing — weights, bands, or using your own bodyweight? And how often do you train?GirthBrooks said:

To be straight with you, I’d go with splitting the dose simply because it keeps you at peak levels for the longest stretch.
If anything comes up, just message me and I’ll do what I can.
Right now I’m being pretty lazy about working out, honestly. My job has me putting in 14-hour shifts, plus I spend an hour driving each way.Sosa1980 said:

My beginning dose was 4mg. How are you eating and working out?GirthBrooks said:

I can tell you've lost a good amount of weight by now.GirthBrooks said:

A few times a week—at least 3—I’ll pace my driveway back and forth until I’ve covered 1/2 a mile. It’s a really steep driveway, so it works almost like walking on an incline treadmill. On top of that, I look after my chickens and keep up 3 acres, which means Saturdays give me plenty of cardio lol.
I recently picked up a simple weight bench and a set of dumbbells through Facebook marketplace. My plan is to assemble everything this weekend and get back into strength training.
