Age 36.

5'9" - 280 lbs.

By trade, a Psych Nurse Practitioner.

Two children, aged 3.5 and 1.5.

Weight has been a struggle for as long as I can remember.

There was a good stretch between age 18-23 when my diet cleaned up and I began working as a union carpenter — the physical labour, regular gym visits, and a fondness for UGL goodies kept me in decent shape for a while. Then a job site injury ended that: a broken clavicle, torn labrum/rotator, and six herniated discs. Nursing replaced the trades after that, and the years of sitting around plus married life pushed me as high as 338 pounds.

Becoming a father brought accountability and guilt with it, and I got down to 290 pounds, then Zepbound took me to 276 before I changed practices at work and learned that, premiums and deductibles notwithstanding, Zepbound would no longer be covered. Google led me to compounding options, which is how Retatrutide entered the picture, and I've been down that rabbit hole ever since — so here I am, wanting to learn more. The way I look, the way I feel, and how limited I am doing simple things like playing with my son has me hating myself as a father, and my hope is that reta is the missing piece — getting me back to feeling better so the lifestyle changes I need can actually hold.
