Like the title says, calling this a journey doesn't sit right with me...to me (and yes, I'm aware of what the dictionary says) a journey is a brief trip to some destination, and then it's finished. But this isn't short-term, and it isn't just until I reach some happy-place endpoint — it's permanent.

My new life began 1 year ago, back when I was at my heaviest, over 360lbs. Since December 2024, I've dropped 138lbs as of 1/9/2026. I started ** almost 2 weeks ago and am down 5lbs, and at last I'm seeing things move in the right direction. My plan is to use it only for breaking stalls, because apart from that I eat well, track my macros, hit my protein and water targets, see my dietician every other month, and exercise 4-5 days a week.

I'm getting married in June (6/6/26), and I'd hoped to reach my goal weight by then. That might not happen, but I know I'll be close, and because I can see the effort I'm putting in, I know I'll get there before long.

In the meantime, I was really hoping to find a safe space — not only for deals, but also for advice, friendship and community, since I believe support is a massive part of success. Beyond that: I live in the frigid north, have a couple kids (yes, #milfmomgoals hahsj jk jk), and I work in the Healthcare industry.

Honestly, I'm not sure what else to add — introductions have never been my strong suit hahah, so if you've got questions, I'm an open book. Finally, thank you for letting me be part of this group; it really seems like an amazing space so far, and I can't wait to see everything it has to offer.

Hi there! Reading your post put a smile on my face🙂 well done! Exactly — this is something we're capable of. And going back? Never.

I repeat that line to myself whenever I pick up another few kits, despite already having a stockpile that should honestly carry me until generics become both easy to find and inexpensive. Most likely, anyway.
