Hey everyone. Happy to have found this place. Having people around you while trying to shed pounds can really make a difference, I believe. About 4 weeks back I began micro dosing reta (started at 0.5 mg, currently at 1 mg), and I've mostly been reading quietly on this site to pick up useful tips. This is the first time I've ever used a glp-1 type med. For years I stayed away from them, since I do want to drop weight, but at my age (female, 60's) I'm not willing to lose muscle. Obesity has been part of most of my life, and I was even a big baby at 10.5 lbs. Right now I'm at 240 lbs, my highest was 302, and my goal is 140 lbs. I imagine a lot of you are the same, having attempted every option out there without anything lasting. I went the standard route first, my doctor, insurance, etc. The new glp-1 bridge program turned me down because I have OSA. Since the med is for weight loss and that isn't covered, my insurance (Medicare in the US) said no, so a real Catch-22. Paying cash out of pocket isn't possible for me, which left me searching for other ways. It makes me happy that even on this very low dose I'm seeing some good results.

Today I pinned 1.25 mg. This morning I noticed some hunger, yet once the dose went in, it vanished entirely. My approach is to move ahead at a very gradual pace so that sides stay minimal. Oddly enough, the desire to eat hasn't gone away. Could it simply be routine? Since I stick to a rigid meal plan, it's a relief that sticking with it now feels less difficult.
