New Here, Working Toward Better Health

I'm from Florida and recently began using Glps — feeling eager about dropping some weight. At 64, I'm a retired firefighter, and I still put in part-time hours as a paramedic.
My reason for starting was to shed some pounds, but the result has been a total transformation. Tirzepatide has rewired my mind for the better, and I really enjoy how I feel these days.

My weight has gone from 220 to 198. I began eating low carb right after Easter. Tirzepatide was used for 1 month, then I moved to Reta last week. My wife spent 2 months on Zepbound. She is now in week 3 of Tirz. This is my 1st experience with forums. I am still learning how everything functions.

I belong to a few other forums too, but the moderation here is clearly much stricter, which I hope will cut down on spammers and similar nuisance accounts. When it comes to “figuring out how this works,” there is definitely a learning curve at the start, yet after you get the hang of it, it becomes super simple.

I appreciate you sharing that!

Is it effective for other dependencies too, such as weed? I've come across info suggesting reta may help with addictive behaviours.

For me, Reta made a huge difference. I dropped roughly 60 by myself, then another 60 once I added it. My inflammation is much lower. At this point I feel better than I did at 20 — I quit alcohol, I'm at the gym all 7 days of the week, and you can do this too. 🙂

Depending on what drove your addictions, everyone will have a different outcome. My own experience is all I can share, but in short, once I started taking it, anything I WANTED to quit became possible. Should you not wish to stop, it wouldn't be hard to push past it and continue your habits, yet for me the glp made stopping simple, since that constant voice in my head urging me to do it had disappeared.

Really appreciate it, and I figure it'll pan out the same way for me, since my biggest trigger for lighting up is having way too much spare time and just feeling sluggish. On top of that, there's this sort of elevated headspace that lets me put away all that junk food, you know? Which GLP are you on?

100%!! When you first arrive, it may feel a little strict compared to the wild, wild west of Discord/TG and some other forums, but you'll find this to be a very knowledgeable and engaging community. Engagement is the key word.

I get why they’re cautious about new accounts given all the scammers, even though it’s good that newcomers can still see everything. I just wish there was a smarter way to check people, but honestly I have no idea what that would look like
