Hello everyone. I'm a 50-year-old from Louisiana. Weight has been a lifelong battle for me, honestly. My bariatric surgeon was the one who told me about glp1. (Over the past 8 years I've undergone gastric sleeve surgery and then a revision to bypass.) Neither procedure got me under 195lbs, even though both did help. I'm 5'4. Before the sleeve, I believe my starting weight was 250lbs.

So, my purpose here is to learn everything I can. The surgeon handed me a printed sheet listing options and their costs. Sadly, paying that amount each month isn't something I can manage right now.

She told me I'm prediabetic again. Insurance still won't cover the medications based on that alone.

That's why I turned to google and reddit. Eventually that brought me to this place.

What I'm hoping for is to gain enough knowledge to figure out whether this is something I could eventually afford within my budget....or whether there are other possibilities out there.

My biggest fear is making my health worse. The surgeries felt so extreme ...and these days I constantly hear my late mother's voice in my head 😅 She always said not to interfere with what God gave me. I went ahead and did it regardless. 2 surgeries later, I still don't feel at home in my own body.

I'm not rushing into any choices. I tend to be shy and keep to myself. I observe and absorb.

Apologies for going on like this, I just wanted to address everything I figured might be relevant about why I'm posting here lol

😊😊

I trust this place will give you the answers you need. Still, the most important thing to start with is keeping a positive mindset—the rest can move forward gradually, one step at a time.

Glad to have you here! There’s a good chance this space holds whatever information you’re after. Before buying anything, I’d strongly suggest you spend time reading through different threads on the forum — that way you can uncover solutions to many important questions that might come up along the way. Wishing you nothing but success, my friend!

This is a good spot to land, though you might end up hooked on several peptides—plenty of them cost next to nothing now, tirz and reta included.

A whole month's worth can run you about what 2 trips to McDonalds would set you back nowadays.

Honestly, my own outlay is only about 20 dollars per month, and since my fast food runs dropped by 90%, the savings have been huge.

Haha, keeping more cash in my pocket is absolutely something I care about 🤣

The amount of material on this site is overwhelming — it feels like trying to drink from a firehose.
Haha I believe that's what's been tripping me up. I have no clue what the first step is, and before I know it I'm pulled 12 different ways 🤣

Greetings from Alabama! I hope this place gives you all the information required so you can make choices that are right for your health. My own entry into peptides came through Retatrutide, which a freind gave to me as a gift. Until not long ago, I assumed every peptide would always be beyond what I could afford. After doing a bit of digging, I learned they don't have to be expensive. Alongside whatever peptides you pick, try building some strong healthy habits so their effects are supported. Wishing you the best.

🥂🥂 Really appreciate it! That is precisely why I ended up here lol. Someone told me it's within reach and that all I need is a bit of education...so here goes nothing 😅
