Most of you probably won't agree with my decision but that's ok because my Dr understands me.

I have been sick for about a week. I told my Dr yesterday how I was feeling. She agrees it's a virus. I have decided to stop all medicine and peptides besides my seizure meds, kpv, klow and cymbalta. The only reason for the cymbalta is because it's hard to to come off of. I dread the day I swallowed that first pill. I think with all my weightloss I need a reset and maybe not even be on some anymore. I will start back tirzepitide at a dose of 5 mg. I may regret this but I feel like I'm overloaded. I've really not been myself in awhile. I'm not sure my Dr agrees but she trust me. She'll definitely monitor me closely.

Edit to add the reason for kpv and klow is because I'm having surgery and it helps my lupus inflammation

To me it sounds like a good decision. You know your body best and then your Dr. I hope you feel better soon. ❤️

The main rule I follow is to look after yourself properly. If this is what you feel you need to do then listen to that instinct. Your peptides aren’t going anywhere. Go back on the Tirz steadily but don’t rush. Hope you feel better soon.

I agree with you! A reset can be good. I went through one because I had a reaction, as it turns out, to 2 things that I was taking together. Long story, but it made me reevaluate things and dial everything in later. When you start back, you likely will do the same. And my reaction was not from peptides or stuff people talk about on here (though something cymbalta in combination with another serotonin drug can cause, ironically). Anyway, nothing wrong with a reset and refocus. Good luck!

Are you still on cymbalta? If not how the hell did you get off it? I've tried so many times.

Wasn’t that, but an SSRi, which really did help with my anxiety. But what I can tell you from experience. Cymbalta has a super short half life. I mean, compare the withdrawal from Xanax and Valium. I have experience with withdrawing form short half life drugs. You know if folks are quitting a short half life form of benzo, they often prescribe a long acting one. Or they have a serious long timeline ween off. My conclusion is with something like that, you can go through hell on life worse 3-4 weeks or taper off very slowly. Good luck.

I have officially been off meds 1.5 days.

Today I'm really starting to feel better. I'm about to kick this virus in the ass! I also feel the affect of going off meds. But not in a good way yet.

So far being off tirzepitide for almost 2 weeks my appetite isn't bad yet. When the appetite hits me like a ton of bricks I'll be going back on.

I really think I'll be able to completely eliminate some medicine completely.

You seem to have thought this out and your doc is onboard. Sounds sensible! Hope you feel better soon, and that your body gets a nice rest and reset!

I went cold turkey off Cymbalta (after being on the lowest dose for a while) and still went through hell getting off. Suicidal ideation, intense mood swings, feeling fuzzy for MONTHS. It’s truly the worst medication out there, and should honestly be pulled from the market. I don’t recommend cold turkey, but there’s step down instructions on the internet that make you count down to the last bead.

I tried the countdown method. It's been so bad! I didn't get far because I got scared.
