Hola, CoquíPrincess here. I'm a Diabetic Latina working to beat Diabetes. My grandmother died from it, and I refuse to make my family go through what my mother endured because of it. I'm also in perimenopause. My GLP-1 path began at a local medspa in Tampa Bay (please dont judge me 😅). Now I realize I got ripped off. He placed the T into 4 insulin syringes that I bring home and keep in the fridge. I've been using T since December. The med spa switched my medication last month, claiming I wasn't responding to T. At 6.75 I had lost only 13lbs, and I'm at the gym 4 days a week for 1 hour doing strength training, plus I walk 1 mile to work and 1 mile back 4 days a week. I use a digital scale to weigh my food in grams. So he chose to move me to R 5mg.

I told him I suspect my fridge might be the problem. We saw it had been sitting at 55° because my meats kept spoiling fast for a few months, and we thought it was just poor quality.

Anyway, I'm in my 3 week on R 5mg, and I feel wiped out ALL THE TIME. I've dropped 5lbs in 3 weeks.

We just replaced the fridge, hoping that was why I wasn't responding to T, because I want to give T another try after my last R shot next week.

Fingers crossed I'm not a non responder 🙏🏽

T is something I have no experience with, but based on what I've gone through myself and what I've seen from other people, the exhaustion from R is definitely genuine.

On top of that, my guess is that appetite suppression will work differently, so that shouldn't be used as a way to judge how well it's working.

When I'm at 5, R seems to be doing a solid job of killing my appetite. The problem is I'm so wiped out and have zero drive to exercise. Even so, the weight is still coming off.

That tirz was surely not harmed by your fridge. It's far more resilient than that.
The commercial fridge we just picked up secondhand may also be a dud. Last week, right after we got it, the temperature dropped to 28 😖 and I figured it was a fluke. But my husband told me this morning that the coils in it keep freezing over, which I hadn’t heard before. It looks like we might have to spend money on yet another one 😮‍💨. I really can’t deal with this situation again. With the previous fridge running too warm, we ended up throwing out a lot of stuff, including meat and produce. The meat should still be okay, but I can already tell some of the produce has frozen. Massive freaking eye roll. I think I should hold off on placing orders until I sort this out.

Feeling wiped out on glp1 frequently comes down to insufficient calorie intake.
